How about everyone be doctors and we re-create E.R.?I'm here for it.
How about everyone be doctors and we re-create E.R.?
So no night phase to start with ?Everybody now has a role! Congratulations.
But now. The twist. (!)
You all know how Town of Salem goes. Some of you have played it eight times now.
That precious role list helps you fill in the gaps. It's so satisfying to decipher the clues and figure out who all the goodies and baddies are.
But not this time.
This time we are playing ALL ANY TOS. A completely randomised role list.
All you know is that there is at least one evil role out there. Or else this game would have ended instantly. In fact, it's entirely possible for you ALL to be evil.
And for the record, I did not balance this role list at all. It's completely random.
Have fun!
See you in the morning at 10am AEDT.
Orders may be placed in advance in your PM (to avoid accidently missing a night phase, stack as many orders as you'd like). Voting during the Day Phase is not essential.
2 night(s) until the Coven has the Necronomicon.
Day phase is 10am-4pm AEDT (6 hours).
Night phase is 4pm-6pm AEDT (2 hours).
Day phase is 6pm-12am AEDT (6 hours).
Night phase is 12am-10am AEDT (10 hours).
thanks . so when he posted the order of the phases it was only indicative and he siad see you tommorrow at 10Starting with a night phase, which concludes 10am AEDT tomorrow morning.
ATT = attack and DEF = defence. The OP lays out a number of hierarchies which establish which actions have priority (ie. occur first), as well as the strength of each power. From memory, I think the strength of attack and defence ranges from Unstoppable, to Powerful, to Basic.
For instance, a powerful attack will overcome basic defence, and take effect, but a basic attack won’t.
Yeah, kind of. I think it’s helpful to think of basic defence as being kind of like night immunity in regular werewolf games (consider the roles in the OP that get basic defence, they’re usually quite similar in nature to faction heads, serial killers etc), but worth noting that there are still certain circumstances where those players can be killed overnight.thanks . so when he posted the order of the phases it was only indicative and he siad see you tommorrow at 10
Yep the clever ones knew what he was saying
Read the openng posts but sorry it doesnt make sense.
Ill try ,.
So if i have a killing role and PM a choise to serial_thrilla he then works out if my ATT is stronger than the Selected persons DEF and if it is i succeed in a kill If not do i die or does it just get reported as unsuccesffiul
So if htat is true. Any one with a low ATT should not go randomly killing as in other WW games. You need to wait to detect somehow those with weaker DEf.
And if you have high DEF you should pretend in thred you dont so you attacj some foolish Kiolloers ?
Is that the gist of it ?
Bastard took the bumper rails down.Just when you think you're a seasoned ToS player, serial_thrilla changes the rules
what is an Altering Veteran .Yeah, kind of. I think it’s helpful to think of basic defence as being kind of like night immunity in regular werewolf games (consider the roles in the OP that get basic defence, they’re usually quite similar in nature to faction heads, serial killers etc), but worth noting that there are still certain circumstances where those players can be killed overnight.
Town of Salem really requires you to read the rolelist and become accustomed to how all roles work (not just your own) because individual roles can have nuance In their descriptions that can completely change their operation. Strength of attacks can get upped depending on whether players are in possession of particular things.
I won’t tell anyone how to play their role but I don’t think I’d hesitate necessarily to use an attacking power if you think you can do so in a targeted way that is helpful to your win condition, whatever it may be. If the attack fails, so be it. You learn something from it.
Just don’t blame me when you try to hit an altering veteran.
imagine how the newbies are then lolJust when you think you're a seasoned ToS player, serial_thrilla changes the rules
Bastard took the bumper rails down.
We’re not all doctors, are we?
Just when you think you're a seasoned ToS player, serial_thrilla changes the rules
The answer to this is precisely why I said all the role descriptions need to be considered closely. If you review the description of veteran in the OP it will make a little bit more sense.what is an Altering Veteran .
Is that a role or someoen who regularly play S Salem
Awww! Really! Damn itBastard took the bumper rails down.
We’re not all doctors, are we?
Ok you mean ALERTING VETERANThe answer to this is precisely why I said all the role descriptions need to be considered closely. If you review the description of veteran in the OP it will make a little bit more sense.
yeah teribly sorry you were able to read it and understand but i didnt .Maybe if you could spell, it would make more sense to poor Raz
Whatever santaMaybe if you could spell, it would make more sense to poor Raz
Yeah my badOk you mean ALERTING VETERAN
NOT an Altering Veteran
Thanks
But yes just reading OPs does not mean everything clear etc.
TO truly learn how to play and enjoy all games whether it is SALEM or MONOPOLY.
Jsut reading the rules is not enough. With little PM involvement in many of these games it is hard to learn the ins and outs.
But thanks for your ansers
All good. we all make mistakes. it just sadly made another English word with a different meaningWhatever santa
Yeah my bad
What? Santa is still here!Whatever santa
Yeah my bad
yeah teribly sorry you were able to read it and understand but i didnt .
