a forced fire sale due to mismanagement is NOT an aggressive strategy to refresh the list....

You think it was a forced fire sale, I think it was a very targeted strategy. Treloar, Stevo and Phillips weren't offloaded by accident

As I say, he's depth. We get Howe back in 2021. Savage would be behind IQ, doesn't offer anything more than Noble who is 6-7 years younger and deserves the opportunity, we're apparently grooming Bianco as a HB, Tyler Brown has played there, we seem to want Murphy to play there, Ruscoe was recruited more as a defender than a forward, and we still haven't heard what will be happening with either Appleby or Langdon. I just don't think it's a position of need and would rather look to develop than re-clog a list we've gone to so much trouble to cleanse.

Long on minimum chips and I'd have a completely different view.

I think he clearly a better player than Noble.

IQ would be first small defender picked but as depth Savage would be great.

We need speed. And With that speed and decent disposal efficiency he could be of value playing a variety of roles potentially.
Speed is useless if you’re not very good at playing football. It’s folly picking up delisted players just because they’re fast, or have good DE%. There’s a reason he was simply delisted rather than traded.

We don’t know why he’s been delisted.

And As it’s been said... a lot more players delisted this year than usual. Some will be unlucky.

I’d rather take a close look at one of those who is already in the system and fits a need than take 30 year olds... or draft an 18 year old with a late pick, who’s just even more speculative than someone who has at least played a couple of seasons of NEAFL

Yeah, more seasoned so more physically suited but I'm not sure that equates to better. In their 1st couple of seasons they averaged very similar numbers, Noble slightly more disposals, Savage more marks and tackles, both very good DE%. I think Noble will continue to add size and strength which are his biggest shortfalls at the moment.

You may have nailed it in your first sentence, averages only 17 in the NEAFL
No idea if he can play, but there was no NEAFL this year. Averaging 17 in 2019 as an 18 year old draftee in his first year of senior footy isn't bad.

Conversely, in a year where there are almost guaranteed late bargains to be had, I’d rather not fill a list spot with a kid who’s been deemed as not up to it by another club after being observed for 2 years in the system.

Aight
16 and Dogs Future Second (currently 30 based on this year) for 9 from the Crows.
We then need to package 14 and our Future First for something that gives us a top ten pick and enough points for Reef.
Any ideas?
As much as I'd like 5 and 37 from the Suns...
No idea if any of these could get done. All would probably require some minor +/- pick adjustments. Trades also depend on what others value our 2021 1st and 2nd picks at.
GWS 15 & 20 for our 2021 1st & 2nd, we would have 14,15,16,20 or
Roos 11 & 30 for 21 1st & 2nd, giving us 11,14,16,30 or
Crows 9,22,23 for 21 1st & 2nd & 16, giving us 9.14,22,23 or
Dons may offer picks 7 & 8 to Roos for pick 2, but may be interested in offering 8 to us if that fails.
GWS may be the most likely as they already have picks 10 & 13.

I can see where Jackass is coming from here. The mismanagement occurred prior to the trade period. That was already there. So to rectify the mismanagement we had to be aggressive in the trade period and we were. The trade period and the mismanagement are two separate occurrences and should not be taken as one IMO. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with the trades however.

So not agreeing with you means a tanty?

If so, I will enjoy it.

No, the vitriol toward the club reflects a tanty. Happy for you to disagree with me as you choose and will try to help you see the light.

So just because someone isn't agreeing with you then they are having a tanty?

Happy for you to show me where I've said that, but your graphic reflects well on those people who choose to ascribe meaning that clearly isn't there.

Savage's kicking depth separates them. Noble is a short chip kicker. Savage can kick over a line.

Mitch Cleary.

He said Wills would be up against it. He wasn't sure about Madgen/Greenwood as he hasn't asked about them. But I think both get a 1 year contract
i think they should. Greenwood's toughness around the ball is what we are screaming for.
The team is just too nice!! Maynard has it, but not sure who else has it.

Wasn't Greenwood's extension announced during the season?
