Surely if we’re talking “placeholders” then we have people on the list who can fill that role?
Why bring in people who, in my opinion, won’t develop or offer lots better than what we have.
Now if there’s a low-buy that we think just needs the right opportunity, then that’s another discussion
Never heard of depth then.
Right

We are nowhere near flag contention and won't be for a few years so getting a gun using 2 first rounders is just a waste, keep our powder dry until we are up around finals contention and then go for it.
I think you’re much better off grabbing a young KPF that you think will explode and build

good luck with that this year - such are always on all clubs radars and we have no draft capital.
all my previous posts in this thread have been about bringing in KP quality 22/23

Apart from Daicos / Dib minimal changes for mine bc most of what’s out there isn’t worth bringing in as it’s no better than what we have

maybe Stephen’s if they think he’ll realise his potential
Maybe a tall if they think they just need a new environment

facebook accounts. Yeah I'll take a grain of salt, but lets hope so. We'll see in coming weeks now swans season is over.

Yeah, I’ll need to hear what Nathan Brown thinks about it before getting too carried away.

RATING THE LIST

A graders:
Brodie Grundy, Scott Pendlebury, Steele Sidebottom, Jack Crisp, Darcy Moore.

B graders: Jordan De Goey, Jamie Elliott, Taylor Adams, Callum Brown, Will Kelly, Jordan Roughead, Josh Thomas, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Brayden Maynard, Jeremy Howe, Brody Mihocek.

C graders: Josh Daicos, John Noble, Tom Wilson, Darcy Cameron, Max Lynch, Chris Mayne (retired), Levi Greenwood (retired), Brayden Sier, Jack Madgen, Mason Cox, Ash Johnson.

D+: Isaac Quaynor, Jack Ginnivan, Oliver Henry.

D graders (developing): Jay Rantall, Tyler Brown, Trent Bianco, Mark Keane, Finlay Macrae, Trey Ruscoe, Reef McInnes, Caleb Poulter, Nathan Murphy, Liam McMahon, Beau McCreery, Isaac Chugg, Aiden Begg.

LIST BREAKDOWN

A-grade = 5

B-grade = 11 (De Goey should be an A-grade player and he has shown his quality as a midfielder in the latter part of the season, but given his unreliability off the field, and inconsistent performances he gets a B this year. Should he continue this form in 2022 he would be an A-grader for sure).

C-grade = 11

D+ grade = 3

D-grade = 14
Josh Daicos C??? What’s Bucky on?

I reckon he’s absolutely rubbish.

At his height he should be playing key position. But he is completely incapable.

Conversely his skill set isn’t good enough to be playing wing or on the flanks. Particularly in comparison to his opponents in those positions.

For me the only thing going in his favour is that he’s tall… and that’s not enough.
I haven't watched too many eagles matches but the ones I've seen he seems pretty decent in terms of marking and kicking although can't speak to his one on one defending. I'm not a Magden hater like some on here but I'd if thought he would be an upgrade.

Agree re Stephen's potential, he has something.
I just don't see the sense in forcing young blokes like Henry to carry the load for a year or two.

Buckenara is usually pretty measured in his analysis. It ain't BS just because you don't want to hear it when the facts are the club put us in this position and it is a reality unfortunately that out cap is cooked.

Buckenara's analysis of the playing list is one, no actually the worst analysis of a list, l have read.

How many people still upset about Peter Wright?
0 kicks
0 marks
0 score for the day
Just yesterday i said he would have to prove himself in todays final.
We dodged a bullet with this bloke.
Hoping the scum are paying him well.

Treloar trade was madness. Not only did we get nothing for him, but paying him $1.5m over the next 5 years to play against us.

Are you ****in kidding when did that happen

Never heard of depth then.
Right
Moving on

I’m not a fan of trading for depth. Those development opportunities should be for those we already have on our list, and continue to build via the draft.

Some funny things in there

Callum Brown is a B grader lol

John Noble is untouchable.

And yeah let’s trade de Goey who was our best player in second half of year.

too funny

Got to Sidebottom as A grader stopped reading knew the rest would be BS
