Massive call to drop Bob. Personally don't see it happening from a morale and also a playing viewpoint.

Am concerned about his increasing turnovers off half back. Do think he can play a role forward. His vision and use would still be an asset. Just don't see his current form and apparent pace drop allows him to safely play HB.

Could get tricky if his form tails further though IMO.
Bob's done a hammy.

So what do we think our offer to re-sign Adams is?

In Chris Mayne currency he is worth 2.5 million per season over 12....in real terms you would hope we are offering him 350K+ per year. He is a superior player to Hamling which should provide some guidance to his worth.

Adams shits himself in the backline. Cost us goals in last few weeks
Couldn't disagree more. He was fantastic yesterday and is our first choice KPD

Adams can certainly have the occasional freeze and panic with ball in hand in the backline, but he still hasn't played many games. Those will stop with experience. Besides, even if he doesn't grow out of it he wouldn't be the first key position player to be prone to such mistakes, and he stops a lot more goals than he concedes.

Was more critical of Adams than was the consensus last year but he has been superb so far this season, really important to us. He could be more composed at times and opponents are still finding it a bit too easy to sneak in behind him, but overall the good overwhelmingly outweighs the bad. Crucial signing for us.

Adams wouldn't have played 20 AFL games yet would he? He will gain more and more composure with games played.

Racked up #20 on the weekend - but certainly do agree. He's already a lot better in that regard than he was last year.

Actually I agree with the fact that Adams struggles defensively close to goal. He is very good from about 20 metres to the arc. He doesn't have the nous to work it out of deep defence.

Once again Stevo on AFL Game day just said Essendon are into JJ

I love JJ but if he is going and we could get S May, then I think this would be a win for the club overall. Ideally keep JJ and
get S May.

I think Murphy and M Boyd will retire and hopefully Morris plays on.

Adams to re sign as will Dale, Webb, Dunkley and some of the other younger players.

Collins- is too slow in my opinion and I am 40 and could still run faster than him. Was great at 17 but against men in the high paced
AFL he will never make it IMO. DELIST

Crameri- I think we will offer him basement contract and if someone comes knocking we will allow a trade for a 3rd rounder

Others we will Delist which I think most agree on are- Honeychurch (if he does not get in this week after 36 and 4 goals) then this is
a sure thing, Hamilton- Never showed much, Prudden- Never showed that much IMO
Good post. I think very much similarly. Ideal is to keep JJ and get May. May is pretty hot property at the moment so we are about 18-1 to get him. Worst case is lose JJ and not get May.
Boyd appears shot, Murphy if not shot will be by season start next year. The club needs to make a tough call I think. Moz stays on as a veteran. If he falls off the cliff then it's just one player, if all 3 fall off the cliff it's 3 players that are taking valuable list space.
I am happy to give Collins one more year but must show something.
Crammers can stay or go it doesn't bother me. Agree on Hamilton and Prudden. Possibly one of our younger players could be used in a trade. I like these guys but McLean, Hunter, Webb, Dale, Jong or Daniel could be used in a trade sweetener. But only one of those guys.

Say JJ does go to Essendon. What would we ask for? First rounder or players? Which players? Obviously not going to cough up a gun but maybe a potential gun...

If GWS win the flag this year, does Kelly leave? I think if they don't he'll definitely stay, but if they do, maybe the cash is too tempting, especially with a flag under his belt.

A good player & a first round pick minimum

To be honest though, there isn't a pick in the draft that I'd want to lose for JJ. We know what he can do at his best, he's worth that & more.

Daniel .... WTF would not be uaed in a trade sweetener under any circumstances, a team that lacks footskills you dont trade your most skillful player

Well JJ is a gun so we are right to ask for a gun in return. Hooker isn't enough. Hurley would do it. Ess would say no. Aaron Francis?
