Been thinking about what we can offer for Chad. I find it very hard to see how we can not offer 7 but we really still want to get a draft pick in before West is bid on

How about we offer 7, Dahl compo and next year's 2nd for Wingard and 11.

That will get PA up into Rozee/Hately Territory with their first and giving them 2 further valuable picks.

We miss out on a shot at a top 7 player but can still get a pick at a Ohalloran. RCD etc before having to match on West.

A lot will depend on how badly port want to sneak into that 7 area and whether there is someone around 10-12 we rate highly.

You said we were in the box seat, he just questioned that Saints have pick 4 so wouldn’t that put them in the box seat. Not worth falling out over.

That’s massively in our favour. No way port do that. Two early seconds doesn’t equal 11 imo (although J MAC obviously thought differently). I honestly believe pick 7 is fair value for Chad. But given he’s contracted it might take a little more to get the deal done. What will that be?

Nah won't happen. Wingard worth 7 and probably more. I'd see the likely scenario being 7 + Dahl compo for Wingard and a 3rd rounder.
