How the fk does that team constantly top up with decent players? Jenkins' deal was around 650k a yr, Dahlhaus similar, adding to Hawkins, Selwood, Danger etc. Geez it's annoying.
So where does josh Jenkins play, if forward, a bit of a slap in the face for Ratugolea. Bulldogs should go after him if, and a BIG IF, Jenkins does go to Geelong.

In percentage terms, what chance do you reckon that is of happening?

For mine, Tippa isn't really a $650k player, although it could be argued his marketability would generate significant returns on top of his onfield value

The marketability that Essendon hardly use in anyway ?

I don’t get the hate for AMT. Hes a very good forward.

No point putting any stock in the rubbish that gets posted about AMT.

He’d walk straight into Richards’ current spot at half forward and make our forward line far more potent offensively and defensively. Dickson can’t go on forever either, although he’s been very good again this year.

Bombers have used him through midfield a bit, to try and offset how soft they are through there. We’d only need him to play forward. It’s a great fit for him and us. Hope it comes off.

1st Rounder for a 27yo who has played less than 30 games? Highly doubtful.

We received pick 35 for Premiership full back Joel Hamling who was 23 at the time...2nd rounder seems about right to me.

Keath has been significantly better this year than Hamling was in 2016, although different style players. Keath is a brilliant fit for our side.

Keath will take at least two good second rounders. Maybe our first with something coming back.

And we should absolutely do it.

Easy to forget how much clubs overrate draft picks when it comes to trading ready made players. Sure it probably takes a first round pick to draft a player that is a safe bet to be an adequate replacement for Keath but that’s just never how it works.

An early second would comfortably get it done.

Melbourne gets May. Brisbane gets Neale and Charlie Cameron. St.Kilda gets Carlisle.

We should go for an A-Grader in the areas we need.

We all agree that an A/Grade KPD is what we need. Next small forward. In the draft we also want the above and a KPF (given what we have at VFL) - ideally this is a more mobile swing man 193-195 like forward/defender.

We ARE in the premiership window so who are the 27-30 who can play in a premiership in the next two years?

The kids coming through look outstanding. This draft we might be lucky and get McAsey (or maybe DeKoning) and CCP(nga). Next year JUH (SoaceJam?)(nga) , Macpherson (f/s)

Young was great today and is still a kid - each year leading up to 23/24 he will get bigger and better if developed properly but is not a star yet. Talls are a lottery and take longer (despite unrealistic pressure to succeed way too early).

So who are the A-Graders and who is realistic?

- KPD: Barrass? Davis? A.Pearce (get one back), Weitering, Corr, Moore
- KPF mobile: Lukosius?McStay (still my target despite signing) Fogarty?
- Small Forward: Robbie Gray, Billings, Gresham

27-30 KPD: Keith, A.McDonald, R.Thomson,

27-30 KPF - Mobile: Lynch (Adelaide), Josh Bruce

27-30 Ruck: 2MP, Lycett

27-30: Small Forward: Robbie or Sam Gray (Get our of gaol/Port Adelaide card)

There are players like Jenkins that are gettable but why would he be better than Scache and if not we can spend that kind of money for a VFL recruit.

2MP is a bit like this - like him as a player but like ENGLISH and his trajectory - can you play Scache, Naughty and 2MP in the same forward line?
One of the players you have mentioned here has already approached the club with his manager saying he wants to play for the Dogs next year.

The whole state?
The population of NT is 211k. It's not that huge in the scheme of things.

From an AFL point of view that have to do it. Let GCS 'own' the north, they already play in Cairns.

If your going to come here, please post sensibly,a second rounder would be plenty. And being in AA form is a far cry from being in the AA side, and who gets picked in the AA side without consistent form, covering at least more than one season?
He is posting sensibly, no need to be hostile to other clubs posters who come here respectfully.

Sometimes things like this need to be put into context.
Much of the hate is just a couple of people commenting viciously and saying the same thing over and over, making it seem like he's highly hated.
If we did a club wide vote,I'm sure the outcome would be positive regarding AMT. He's a very good forward and would easily fit into our best 22.

How is what I said hostile?
I used the word please also, and there wasn't any passive aggressive hahahahahaha in my post.

I don't think Keath is worth a first rounder, and I don't compare playing a couple of AA standard games to being AA.
I don't have to kiss this Adelaide guys butt, and my post was far from hostile.

Keath's season as a whole may have been better than Hamling's 2016 season but Joel's finals series was next level.

We all knew the player he would become and his B&F results (6th, 7th and likely Top 5 this year) illustrate how good a player he now is.

I agree that Keath is exactly what we need, I just think a 1st rounder is too much. As it stands our first pick will be around the 10ish mark. Look back the players who have gone around that mark recently;

Caldwell
Naughton
Fogarty
Curnow
McKay
Florent
Sheed
Cripps

1st round picks are gold and we have been nailing them for a long time now. I'd be very hesitant to give one up for a guy with not that many runs on the board.

Haha! Since he named 21 people and some are out of contract.... mind explaining what one..

First with something back is substantially different to a flat our pick close to the top ten though. I think Adelaide would be within their rights to ask for a late first/very early second.
I expect us to trade down our first in any case given we've been linked to Jack Martin, Keath and Walla. We're taken a lot of kids in recent years and we'll take 3 top end talents next year in NGA/FS picks alone.
I'm happy to trade for mature talent this year given we're on the cusp of finals while putting the 4th youngest team on the paddock every week (an outlier in the top 8).

Put those three - or even two of them - in our side right now and we're legitimate challengers, let alone with an extra pre-season into English and Bailey Smith.
