Why did they oick Oscar McDonald ahead of him?

Don’t know but if they got him for depth in defence he is doing his job.

Now it’s up to Oscar to get his spot back which is exactly what you want at a club,
competition for spots

Young is playing well enough to hold his spot.

Young is 23 years old, 200 cm and not even 50 games came cheap so good pick up.

Young has no one competing against except Kemp. Marchbank was injured and just got back while Mcgovern & Oscar are still injured.

I would have thought a state league player may be likely - a Bailey Van Der Heuval from the VFL list or maybe Blake Schlensog from the WAFL. Someone like that. I think LittleG had an inkling that we were talking to Schlensog in the off season just gone.
I like The look of Bailey Van Der Heuval

Obviously a lot of focus on acquiring KPPs but wondering what everyone thinks about our midfield moving forward?

It is our strong point at the moment but could we fall off a cliff very quickly?

I feel that the Bombers and North and maybe a Gold Coast would pay decent money for Dunkley and I think we may lose him. Libba and Treloar will both be 30. Wallis will also be 30 and no longer a mid.

On the wings Hunter and JJ can't be relied upon like they used to be. Dale is out of contract. Vandermeer spends more time off the park than on it. We know Roarke's limitations too.

We'll be relying a lot on West and McComb stepping up big-time, and maybe Daniel moving to FT mid. This does not fill me with confidence.

Not a priority for mine when we have Weightman, as well as Garcia and Jones developing.
None of them are crumbing forwards like Hill

Could copy & paste this with 100 different names but can’t believe we didnt have a crack at Max Lynch last year, perfect opportunity with Lipinski choosing pies. Hawks got him for essentially a downgrade from future 3rd to future 4th.

Like cmon, he’d be perfect as a 2nd ruck right now - I refuse to believe we entertained him all things considered

Mind.boggggling.
