I support Dunkley doing what is best for his career but the tales of these professional standards he supposedly sets for himself grow more than Sam Darcy does.
You'd think he would had identified his kicking as something to work on by now?

Just our luck he becomes an elite kick at his next club because one of there 15 assistant coaches fixes it for him

Unprofessional teammates. A couple of bad eggs.
"It's them or me" and unfortunately the main culprit is on a LT contract we can't offload

Find that hard to understand that someone would make it It is them or me

LT contract player finishes when? The club is not condoning it and trying to help? You sure it is not a case better the devil you know than you don't?

In Dennis Pagans words " Don't piss down my back and tell me it is raining"

Still can’t get my head around Dunks to Port. Just cannot.

Borderline inseparable with Adz, similar cash to dogs offer (maybe a tiny bit more).

Doesn’t add up, at all. What’s pissed him offf?

There is your reason! He's entitled to be human. Let's just make the most out of it in return for a trade - else we will place him to the highest bidder.

I can handle Dunks leaving for extra money, but I'd be very worried indeed if it were anything to do with the professionalism of the club. Who knows? And I'm not wanting to disparage any Bulldogs player, with no evidence whatsoever. But if this were even partly the case, we'd be losing the very type of player needed to drive those professional standards. If someone like Dunkley thinks, 'nah, it's all too hard to make a difference around this place', particularly after this was apparently an issue two years ago when he wanted out to Essendon, then we are in more of a fix than I thought.

Literally decades can be spent in football wilderness when a club can't get their professional act together. Ask any Doggies supporter that grew up in the 60s and 70s. Again, no idea if there's any truth in it, but let's hope - if Dunks goes - it's just for a better contract.

Dunks had his exit meeting today according to Sam Edmund.

Something will come out soon I imagine.

With Jackson possibly staying, I wonder where this will leave us with Lobb?

Yes but:

1. He hasn't known her that long

2. The netball agreement expires mid year and there's a good chance she won't be there after that.

Clearly more to it

Great to see the maturity of Libba. 5-6 years ago that would have been him passed out.

Let the boys enjoy themselves. They should hire a warehouse in a private area or something so they can avoid being snapped.

Wouldn't matter where it was media grubs it just grubs in general would still take a photo.

If that's it and it's this whole demanding professionalism thing then he can get stuffed. Seriously. It's the most pathetic, weak excuse I've heard.

Jackson staying? Has there been further development or is this from Garry Lyon last week?

40 teammates in a bar and it's the one with the bad hammy left to do the heavy lifting.

Typical really.

Don't blame him for looking less than impressed.
To be fair, I reckon Libba has been in Zaines position quite a few times over his career and needed assistance leaving venues.

Lobb is icing, not cake.
I want him (I still think good 2nd ruck/forwards are actually pretty rare) but it's not the end of the world if we don't land him.

Lobb is coming to a Melbourne based team. He asked last year too and the club won’t hold him in Perth again.

Do you think Carlton were in the wrong for sacking Angwin?
If you're on half a mill per year and you're loafing & a bad influence on others, I'm not willing to give that a free pass.

As a supporter base, we should demand a minimum of professionalism from players

If it’s a major factor in a potential Dunkley move, he wouldn’t have many suitors.

Most teams would have several “unprofessional” players let alone one.

Requesting a trade to Essendon (especially when he knows Stringer first hand) doesn’t seem to be “professionally” motivated.

Change to word 'unprofessional' to 'trainwreck' and does that change your opinion?

I think losing Dunks is a disaster for a number of reasons, least of which is how much he is willing to get the best out of himself on the training track and the example that he sets for everyone else.

We should enter the Grundy race. It would allow English and he to be mobile utilities when not rucking and it would give us a huge mobility edge over other teams.
If Dunks leaves and we could effectively use the money we had allocated for Dunks and pay Grundy.... That would be interesting.

Two very athletic, skilled rucks floating around the ground and sharing the CBAs. Would give us a huge advantage and if either goes down, still have an A grade ruck each week.

Also Collingwood sending us 600K a season to pay two of our players is just great comedy.

One of the massive issues with Dunkley telling us this late, if he has, is that it leaves us behind the 8 ball trying to make moves ourself.
I'd expect Sam Power would have contingencies in place for losing Dunks, but there is a lot to play out his year. I expect we're up for a very busy trade period and I'm not sure we're going to be very happy at the end of it.
