Then goes on to say Brisbane are offering only their future 1st for Dunkley.

Cal Twomey also saying the Lions are offering 15 to other clubs for a range of 2nd rounders.

Hope Power can work his magic but it looks like the Lions could be a difficult trading partner.

It would be their starting point. They'd know it doesn't come close to getting it done, but will want to pull our asking price back a bit. This always happens in negotiations

Very long shot but Butters is a nice Western Jets boy would be a very handy Dunkley replacement. Port will need to move this and next years 1st + a very good player for this one

I think they work hard to keep him, but Xav Duursma had a disjointed season (and rumours of a fallout with Hinkley) while Bergman was rumoured to be homesick. They're two other guns to target

I think it’s going to be more about net gains rather than individual trades, or who’s list manager is more Beast Mode.

For example, I think if we get overs for Dunkley, we will pay overs for Lobb, And maybe vice versa if it goes the other way.

Dunkley brought “lifestyle” into it when justifying his decision to move. I don’t think it’s bullying his g/f to point out that it’s just a convenient bs excuse that tries to justify a move to maximise his contract. The kid is selling the story - it wasn’t something made up by anyone on this board. Norf can this time really dig their heels in. JHF has a year to go on his contract and much like us with Dunks and Essenscum play hardball.
They will get a good deal otherwise it won't happen. I believe that Port know this and will try not to screw Norf over.
It's in their best interest not to, Norf could certainly deal with Adelaide if JHF is just serious about getting home to SA.
The deal will get done.
Dunkley deal will get don, however I see the return GWS are getting for Taranto and I would hope our deal is better than that as Dunkley a better player than Taranto. Whether or not the Taranto deal is such that Hopper will come a bit cheaper is the question.

I would only want selections prior to ~30. IF we have one after that, I hope we either take a ruck OR not draft anyone else.

I don’t want to trade back from 11 or 7 or 15 either. Trading up by 2 spots, unless for minimal cost; isn’t worth it either.

I would be trying to clear spots for 5 draft picks. We need to improve the skill level of our depth, as we have only really got JUH & Darcy from the last 2 drafts. The list is lacking developing depth.
