West, Sanders, Frejah, Gallagher, Darcy, JUH, JOD, Busslinger should all improve.

Richards and Lobb should improve further in their new positions.

Clarke, Coffield and Poulter may move from fringe players to regulars.

Naughton is only 25 so we haven't yet seen his best.

We have a lot of internal improvement to come.
Not convinced any of the above fill our most pressing needs: fast mids and wingers with good disposal. Either we get them through trading or the draft as a matter of urgency.

He’s a Sydney boy who played in their academy.

This is clearly a pure money driven move. Why else would he do it? He’s getting regular minutes in the GWS midfield already.

Crows clearly have a ton of cap room and are spending big on middle of the road players and are desperately trying to show some sort of improvement.
No it’s not peatling its Perryman got the players mixed up

Our best pick up last year was Lachie Bramble as a DFA the year before again Liam Jones as a “DFA” multiple avenues to improve the squad

How though? He’s 24 and yet to play 50 games

Yes he’s tallish and has reasonable pace but it’s not like we are missing out on a superstar he’s currently a c grader who’s shown flashes that he can be a b grader
You think everyone is a C grader and then say we can pick up desisted free agents.

Because clubs usually delist players who are above C grade.

Really need to invest in a good forwards coach to improve imo
Matt Spangher isn't the bogeyman this forum wants him to be.

Our forward line structure and cohesion improved significantly this year.

Moving Naughton up the ground to be the tall link man worked.

JUH and Darcy worked well together and didn't crowed each other out.

Weightman's judgement of when to go for marks was significantly better.

West made that accountable half forward posisition his own and kicked goals as well.

He looks primed to break out. He had some ripping games for Giants this season and is a tackling machine who can get clearances.

There’s a reason Giants kept upping their offer and why 7+ clubs were after him.

I would think that Geelong are having to look for additional assets to satisfy the Bulldogs and Melbourne, with De Koning part of that thinking. However Carlton are already trying to get Houston, and now the De Koning and two father sons in the draft, this is going to be fascinating.

I have faith in Sam Power, and as Rocket said in the podcast, Geelong have more at stake than us, they need to ensure this trade goes through. He also mentioned Geelong didn’t want to part with three first round picks for Cameron, but had to cough up in the end.

Finally, fascinating that Geelong is becoming a rehab for out of favour players, somehow I can’t see Scott being the cuddly supportive coach these two are expecting.

And delisted free agents are at best C graders in most cases.

Why do you think they will improve the team but someone like Peatling wouldn't?
Where did I say he wouldn’t improve the team? Clearly pointing out that just because he hasn’t chosen us isn’t the end of the world

You're talking about internal improvement or DFA or mid table draft picks.

It's less likely to find an instant impact draftee especially in that range.

Unless our players can suddenly get quicker we will not improve. Opposition players run away from them while they look like they're stuck in cement

You’re not making much sense here do we just need quick players? Can we again not draft them pick them up as delisted free agents?

How the **** are the crom more enticing than us?
Maybe little things like this matter for some players and of course getting a nice contract helps

Peatling's teammate Isaac Cumming, both Academy products at the Giants, has already elected to join Adelaide an an unrestricted free agent this off-season, while Peatling also has links with Crows defender Nick Murray.
