Zig when they zag.
The competition is all going for pace.
We’ll destroy them by going so slow they won’t know what to do.
\You are having a lend me there is 7 premiership players in that list.If we're comparing post-trade production our "ins" shit all over our "outs". Treloar and Duryea alone cover all those guys.
Shafting Kennedy and Owies screams future cap issues too.People are lauding Carlton's wheeling and dealing to get pick 3, but they've ultimately used their first rounder, F1 & F2 to get there.
For a list without a heap of young talent, that's a lot of eggs in one basket.
Will be very interesting to see who they've targetted.
Especially in a draft where all reports are of a standout 10-15 rather than elite to 3-4People are lauding Carlton's wheeling and dealing to get pick 3, but they've ultimately used their first rounder, F1 & F2 to get there.

Which of the premiership players did anything notable after leaving us other than Dunkley this year?\You are having a lend me there is 7 premiership players in that list.
Being fair, it’s been injury more than form. He’s played when fit the last few years. So, Kennedy has never played more than 17 games in a season before this season and has only played 118 games in 9 years. On face value this doesn't fill one with a lot of confidence but somehow he must have improved recently I guess. I'm right on the fence with this one.

Don’t they have the camp twins this draft?People are lauding Carlton's wheeling and dealing to get pick 3, but they've ultimately used their first rounder, F1 & F2 to get there.

It's not "bazaar" at all. They are basically the same type of mature hard bodied mids who can play elsewhere. They'll be fighting for the same spot with West, the newly signed Garcia and top ten draftee Sanders. Then you add in list cloggers Poulter, Baker and Vandermeer to that.Makes the comparison with Harmes more bazaar given Harmes had played a hell of a lot in the VFL in 2023.
Yet we bring in a first 22 player for a number of years from a club that has been finalists in the last 2 year, cheap and little impact on our Salary cap, yet we still have complaints as he is not the player people here want.
The trade thread that never stops delivering for the perpetually outraged I guess
Maybe we see him as the fallback option to play half forward if as seems likely O'Halloran is now out of reach.Kennedy is a better inside midfielder, a role he will hardly play at the dogs as Libba gets first crack and Sanders second crack.
I'm confused. Genuinely confused by this.
Kennedy played in Carlton’s side most of the year. Was made sub a few times. Is better than Harmes nowadays but he wants to play in the midfield, which is not what he will get with us.
It's funny how both Jackson Trengove and Tim O'Brien were both pretty poor recruits it seemed both at the time and in retrospect and there wasn't anywhere near the melts for when we recruited them at the time.Maybe we see him as the fallback option to play half forward if as seems likely O'Halloran is now out of reach.
I love Jack Macrae, but if I have to see him eek out his career as a goal shy half forward/rotating mid then I'd be very unhappy.
Anyways, fwiw If it comes to pass, Im ok with Kennedy dependant on the cost. And given he was told to explore his options by Carlton, I'd be surprised if that cost was anything other than a token pick.
Regardless of the outcome. The catsrophising in here whenever we bring in a ready made role player (which we do every year) is an endless sauce of amusement.
They do, but they are going to be late picks and not a factor in the moves Carlton have been making.Don’t they have the camp twins this draft?
Usually the more melts we have the better they end upIt's funny how both Jackson Trengove and Tim O'Brien were both pretty poor recruits it seemed both at the time and in retrospect and there wasn't anywhere near the melts for when we recruited them at the time.
Out Baz Daniel macrae
In Kennedy
I need a job where this is the bar for a productive years work
In a year where we bombed out in an elimination final you can’t spin to me that this isn’t a poor off season.
We’ll free up cap space but have proven we can’t attract talent anyway
As a member I want more from the club
