I think there was an ok idea in there somewhere that was horribly executed. Collingwood and a few others were doing something similar but I suspect their players had a clear idea of when to do it and when not to and ours couldn’t get it right.

Thankfully everyone has moved on.

While we have a few youngsters with serious ability I think Sam has the most upside.

Seems absolutely loyal to the club which is great. Richards usually extends pretty early so hopefully he and Bont and wrapped up by the end of the preseason.

If we are not front loading many deals right now, then we are idiots. Hoping Naughtons contract has a base minimum per season, but the flexibility for us to add extra any given year, so it waters down the remaining years. I'd be pumping as much as I can into it next season whilst we have some cap space.

My mistake - I read the announcement as saying he has signed until 2029 (which I took to mean his contract expires at end of 2028.)
