With Baz leaving, JuH is signed on till the end of 2026. It’s no secret that Smith and JUH are mates.

I would not want to see the club lose JUH but could see Smith planting the seeds.
It’s not the fact that they’re mates, they have the same Player Manager don’t they? If so then maybe find a way we can get this spud Conners out of his ear?

Now that this grand final that noone gives a stuff about is done (lol Shitney), we can now get to the period we all care about.

What is our state of play?

Targets: O'Halloran, Peatling (unlikely), Houston (very unlikely)

Trade: Macrae (sad), Smith (good riddance), maybe Daniel, Garcia (hopefully not)

I don’t mind the idea of a bit of a mini clean out. Just need to try and nab a couple more picks in the top 30 this year.

That's pretty much on the cards... but it will probably most likely be picks in the 40s (Maxrae, Daniel, maybe Garcia) and whatever we get for Smith

Don't think we get much in the 20s and 30s.

Probably need to add some experienc3d depth to the midfield too

List management team are negligent if Alex Keath a d JJ get another year

Keath has to go, that would be bad list management keeping him. Can see some reasoning in keeping JJ since he's still best 22 when fit. The problem is he's played 28 games in 3 years and hasn't got close to playing a full season in those 3 years. It's very hard to see him doing a Zorko.

If JJ isn't moved on (and depending on what happens with Macrae and Daniel) we at least need to make a few harder calls on others. Baker, Scott and Cleary are very lucky they have contracts, but that shouldn't necessarily save them all.

Never go full Norf

And then fill those spots with extremely late draft picks which just starts the cycle again

Surprised some think we'll be able to hold onto JUH, Naughton and Darcy. Would come at the expense of the rest of our list.

My mail is that JUH has already agreed to a multi year $1m plus contract at a marquee Melbourne club when his contract with us is done. Explaining why we locked down Naughton.

What did we learn yesterday ?
Just on personal, our smaller brigade , particularly forward, are a long way behind on pure skill.
Wings the same.
Are we now too tall for 2025 ?
I don’t see much change next year. In a sense our hands are tied.
Trading someone like JUH would certainly change the dynamic , but it won’t happen and would be crazy, unless it was some kind of Godfather offer.

So you are saying the club is fully aware JUH is leaving ?

Darcy Naughton is formidable but manageable for opposition

Darcy Naughton and JUH set up properly is unstoppable.

Build the side around those 3

If that was all the case , and I highly doubt it is, move him now !

We’ll have to package them up and try trade up.

Didn't Jamarra sign until the end of 2026 literally this year?

I'd get rid JUH now while he has value doesn't tackle doesn't chase can't kick 100 goals 88 points.
Looks disinterested to me you may on the money ajarwa.

Have you been living under a rock or something

We wouldn't be going full North, I'm not suggesting getting rid of 10 - 12 players and cutting all our older players. Geelong is a good example of cutting deep enough, but not too deep and filling some of those late picks with good state league players towards the back end of the draft.

I'm suggesting we make 7 - 9 list changes, that amount depends on what happens during the trade period. I'd take 2 in the trade period if possible, 5 younger players through the draft and 2 state league players (or possibly leave a spot open for a mid season pick mid year and just pick one state league player this year) would be my ideal trade and draft period.

I doubt we pick up 2 in the trade period.

5 in the draft means we would be picking very late.

We seem to be having a fair few changes. I don't think 9 is a good idea
