I don’t think Gallagher is seen as a defender by the club. The club has seen him as a long term midfielder since being drafted. There is big wraps on his toughness.

I won’t go into specificsAfter listening to Power today I wonder if we'll even hear anything if he decides to stay, or if he just simply won't be traded.
Broadly speaking, though...?I won’t go into specifics
Also took Richards in the first roundWe took 2: Sanders and Judas. But that's only because during the 2016-2023 period our deficiencies were in key position stocks while we had a plethora of midfielders.
I remember him kicking 3 against Port including an exquisite effort from the left pocket.Remember the days he was shoved in a forward pocket?
Maybe if we were getting in some replacements via trade we would.Caleb daniels deal is a 4year offer from North Melbourne. Mitch Cleary reporting.
Personally I think it’s best we let him go. In all’s best interests.
Also sounds like he won't come out and publicly request a trade unless a deal can get done between Dogs and Roos. Still loves the club and happy to stay etc, but if he's going to be playing some VFL again next year and can get an extra 2 years with the Roos, makes sense.Caleb daniels deal is a 4year offer from North Melbourne. He needs to sharpen up his kicking to play down backI’m going to keep saying it until it happens, we need to play him down back
My local paper once carried a job ad for a "barrister and sandwich maker"...
Someone with the skills to get you off multiple parking fines in court then take you home and make you lunch.
He's in contractBroadly speaking, though...?
Run like you stole itHow is that horrible for us? That’s a great deal.
Poor man’s ButtersOnce Garcia cleans up his kicking
He could be anything
The speed of him and Richards full time will reshape our midfield
Hopefully Galla trails as a winger as well
I’m with you,He's a weird one Gallagher.
I'm extremely confident about his growth as a footballer and improvement at his age should continue. I'm even tipping he'll be best 22 next year with another pre-season.
At the same time purely on the output of his stats and the expected output of the players that may have come in for him otherwise, he was probably given a dozen games too many this season.
I wonder if it's more how he's played. He's had 3 games in the last 12ish months where he's had 25+ touches at VFL level, whilst still hitting the scoreboard. Plenty of games where he hasn't either which is why I'm curious about how he's actually played.Gallagher doesn't get the ball enough, makes some silly errors but is sharp around goal. If he could improve finding the ball, i think he will be a handy role player.

Perhaps he'll have learned something in his first senior year and improve with experience?Gallagher doesn't get the ball enough, makes some silly errors but is sharp around goal. If he could improve finding the ball, i think he will be a handy role player.
Sam what coffee did you get morning?I’m not prepared to comment on making a comment about that
i have to agree. i love his toughness. He embraces the contact.I don’t think Gallagher is seen as a defender by the club. The club has seen him as a long term midfielder since being drafted. There is big wraps on his toughness.

+1 year from what I can tell but nothing concrete. What's going on with Clarke? Still uncontracted and he plays in a position we are screaming out for depth in
