Ed Richards has always been an old head. Meeting him at a players function in his first season it was striking how well mannered and Dale Morris ish he was.Do we pay our young starts too much too early, going on potential. That's what a small club probably has to do but might be a link with the amount of pressure added to them. Naughts, JUH, Bailey Smith, Tom Boyd, maybe others' pay didn't match their output. You look at Richards who has had a steady improvement without the big $ and pressure. Now he is a good age can probably handle a big pay check and pressure to perform. He probably deserves it more that those at similar stages
