Not what I hear. Apparently he isn't well liked by teammates and tries to be a big suck up to the coaches.

Thanks for that.I'm pretty sure it was aimed at Eagle87. It was posted in this thread after the mods closed down the pissing contest thread. Not 100% certain though.
I thought that was just an opposition thing - i.e. he's a mouthy twat on the field but an alright bloke off it
"Forward Tony Notte was well off the pace set by his teammates.
While the leading players finished the 1km runs in 3min. 40sec. and most were under four minutes, Notte trailed badly and took more than five minutes to complete the last two runs."
As stated in Eagle Eye WAFL coloumn, Notte's key focus will be on building endurance to produce a 4 quarter effort and i guess that will be the trade-off for bulking up at the moment.
More than 5 minutes to run a 1km is a pretty poor effort for an AFL athlete.
Yeah, those times are way offThis cannt be right!
When fully fit I am around 92kg at 6'1 - i.e. relatively heavy and by no means a fantastic athelete, and as part of triathlon training we do 10 * 1km with a minute rest in between drill. My times range between 3.45-3.55 for the duration. To take 5.00 minutes is a disgrace even when you allow for this being the first pre-season training session.
Yeah, those times are way off
The quicker guys would be under 3 mins.
The most important part of FF is fast leading , Notte may not have the endurance but he has good speed in WAFL games I've seen .
Yeah 25 right now, 26 next year. What about Goose McGuire could add somthing and is only 26.
So we want Notte to put on another 6-8 kilos of bulk and have a good tank?
All at once, sounds like mission impossible. Maybe the Eagles have him putting on bulk first hoping the fitness will come after?
Just being fast on the lead isn't enough. Forwards need the endurance to lead multiple times and without any endurance base he won't be able to sustain those fast leads over 4 quarters.
Opposition sides will also be quick to recognise that he has limited endurance and will instruct his defender to make repeated runs down the ground to test him out.
Endurance would be one of the most important attributes for an AFL footballer these days, regardless of what position they play in.
Whoa!I wonder how good Cox's endurance was when he was 19?
