Will Hodge be back this week...i think i will keep chad this week and pray that hodgey comes back

Trades for this week presuming hodge is back
Beams to Muston

Trades Next week
Sheldon to Salopek!

Vry nice team, your plan looks like it is going on very nicely. Ellis is capable of breaking the ton in any game, IIRC he was past 30 at quarter time against the swans earlier this year.

Hill and Otten should reach their B/E's and Bartel will probably score about 130 against the Eagles.

If that happens then my plan is shot to shit lol. Not by much but by enough. Although Ellis doing so well against the Swans last time maybe will make them a bit more conscious of him and he will get a quality opponent.

Planning on hanging onto C Cornes for now, can cover him with Broughton. I'll use C Cornes as an emergency trade if I'm pushed to the brink and in desperate need of an upgrade.

Particularly since I'm dying to get Malceski out of my team. He's dragging down my value and score.

Trades this week:

Beams > Muston
Malceski > Fisher

I'm going to run out of trades before i run out of cash. Map out your remaining trades and see how much its going to cost you. The 20k may not matter to you in the end.

Yes your right.. the 20,000 cash might not be a issue with my current upgrades im lookin at..I have fair bit of cash in my cash cows.. and only 9 trades left.. im aiming for 3 more upgrades.. and thats all im doing..

I have had a closer look at FFgenie.. and Rich will go up $13,000 next and then $15,000 the following with a overall average of 77 to $314,600.. Bartel will drop $18,700 this week to $444,900 and then rise 3,400 to $448,300 the following.. with a average of 116

So if you wait in two weeks time, you will gain 10,000ish with the price rise in Rich. So from a cash point this is the way to go... It all depends whether you really need that 10,000 for the remainder of your trades.. or need bartel in ASAP to gain the extra PPG... Or whether that work for rest of your trading strategies.. For me im looking at getting didak soon.. who should bottom out in the next couple of weeks.. so the bartel trade might get in the way if i put it off .. Just need to way up the pros and cons for everyones side i guess and work out which way is better for you..long term..

really need some help here guys!

def: chad, adcock, gilbert, fisher, gram, houlihan, grimes (brought, petrenk)

mid: Swan, s.tuck, cross, thompson, hasleby zaha (cockie, deboer)

ruc: Cox, hmac

fwd: Pav, buddy, gia, higgins, goodwin, delidio, sidebottom (warren, wade)

$210,000 in bank, 8 trades :(

im $20k short of doing zaha > bartel, so im thinking of downgrading chad to the likes of mundy/newman/harding in order to get him.
what sounds like the best option?

1) chad > newman/mundy/harding
zaharakis > bartel

2) zaharakis > dal santo/kornes/stanton
chad > lockyer/enright etc

3) zaharakis > muston
chad > enright
(wait for muston to hit around $250-300,000, then upgrade to gun)

thoughts please?? This is irritating me!!! :)

:) :) :) :) :)

Im going to be one who is trading Cornes, my hand is forced, i have Hodge on the Bench with Petrenko at the moment, with Broughton and Grimes on the ground.

What are peoples thoughts on Embley? Seems to be travelling alright??

Looking to trade Hill out of the back line this week.

And was wondering what people think about Mundy as a back. He has great scoring potenial playing midfeild, is tuff, only 2 bad games which one was b/c of injury. His prices has dropped 2 300k had still has a decent av.
Current Back line: Goddard, Chad(Inj), Pburger, Newman, Adcock, Houlihan, Hill/Mundy (Broughton, Greenwood) 150k in Bank.

What about Cockie > Muston then Zaharakis > Bartel
OR Pet > Grima (if named this week) then Zaharakis > Bartel
do those two get you enough bling

Whats your cover in terms of backs? IMO this surgery and break will do Chad the world of good and when he comes back he will be back to his.

Not looking good at all.

here is my Backline:
Goddard, Fisher, Cornes, Gilbee, Harding, Mackie, Broughton (Raines, Greenwood).

Might have to go ahead with my trades...but i really want to get rid of Griffin. Aw well i guess he isn't injured, so he will have to stay.

Yea was thinking that...except then Ive got Chad sitting there, wasting away...would have to burn another trade! Might still do it tho :p

Thanks buddy

mundy is a very good option IMO. apart from his 3 scored sub 60, he is averaging around 100 IIRC. 2 of these were partly caused from injury. not many teams have him, just his inconsistency worries me a little bit. example of this was agaisnt the tigers. was on 8 at quarter time and finished with over 100.

Maybe jump on the Grimes bandwagon. Your one week late but its still is worth it imo.

What do you guys think of Heath Shaw, avg of 89 since coming back in round 7, still only $330,000 could he be a reliable 6th or 7th back.

Grr! I want to downgrade Chad to Ellis/Mundy/Newman but I also want to upgrade Otten to Selwood but I'm 4k short so I either have to downgrade Chad to Jason Gram or upgrade Rich to Selwood which I really don't want to do. The problem is, I don't think Mundy/Ellis/Newman will be at such bargain prices for much longer so I want to get them to complete my backline.

[Edit] Ah wait I should have known I have options that don't involve Selwood. I'll just downgrade Chad to Ellis and upgrade Otten to Goodes/Kornes/S.Thompson/Dal Santo/Cross/Cooney. Oh god the options are making me drool... But then comes the hard part of thinking who I should choose!

Glad you mentioned Dal Santo, I've been looking at him for the past week or so, especially with his 60 from two weeks back he has bottomed out this week and next. Averaging over 100 and only 364k.

The main thing i like about him is that St Kilda play Essendon, North Melbourne, Melbourne, all teams the saints should score well against, in the last three rounds so i want saints players in my team to help take out my league.

Still on 13 trades, so I'm looking at trading Skippy/Coughlan to Muston this week, and Rich to Dal Santo next week. Mids then would be,

Ablett, Kornes, Gibbs, Selwood, Dal Santo, Skippy/Cogs (Muston, Austin)

Thoughts? Are there better options than Dal Santo +/- 25k?
Who should i dump this week for muston, Skipworth or Coughlan?

Actually had a real think about this one. With Leon Davis stepping up his game, Pendles now an A grade midfielder, Swan awesome as usual and (you'd imagine) Didak getting ready to be a star again, Heater may actually avoid the tags a bit more... I don't think you will see the regular 100s from the Heater of old, but at 330k he could def be a good pick, just expect the ocassional shocker.

Thinking about doing

Hartlett to Muston Geary to Ellis this week

Rich to Bartel Ziebell to Didak next week

Side is then set and will be:

Cornes(on field when fit) Lockyer, Fisher, Bock, Mackie, Ellis, Grimes (Broughton, Petrenko)

Ablett, Bartel, Swan, Gibbs, J Selwood, Coughlan (Muston, DeBoer)

Cox, McIntosh (Jacobs, Browne)

Riewoldt, S Johnson, Pavlich, Deledio, Gia, Higgins, Didak (Walker, W Thompson)

Will be low on trades for the rest of the year. Will have to cross lots of fingers that players stay fit - but when Chad is back I think Broughton, Muston and Walker will be good emergencies to come on if 1 of my starting players is out for the odd week.

Thoughts? Could also can the Geary trade but I really want one more gun type player in my backs. Would be happy with Grimes or Geary as 7th back but not quite as happy having them both in my final 22.

Unless the Saints are still 3-4 games clear of 3rd in which case there may be some freshening up done in the last 2/3 rounds.

Well and truly on my radar, we all know what he is capable off and his last few weeks as shown his role is moving back towards the one that made him a pre-season lock few years ago. However the only way I can see him getting into most sides is if someone gets injured, and with Broughton on most peoples benches and scoring well to cover Cornes, probably wont end up getting him.

Ive got two options with trades (commited to trading Cornes)

1- Single trade - > Out Cornes in Lockyer

2- Double trade -> Out Raines in Maguire then Out Cornes in Goddard.

Is Maguire a chance for the Saints with Gardiner likely the only out? once he gets in I think he stays in and I think he would be a handy emergency / 7th defender...

And getting Goddard would be fantastic...

But I would be down to 5 trades...

hmmm decision decisions...
