Kicking can be fixed. Look at Powell-Pepper, you would think he was the worst kick the way he was talked about.
Powell-Pepper has a good ball drop, he just struggles with the depth of his kicks and decision making, which are both quite fixable. His kicking woes have been overstated.

Inside Football magazine has all disposal efficiency numbers with some interesting results. I don't think it's a true reflection on which players use the ball best but McGrath has the highest disposal efficiency out of any TAC player with Kerr having the worst ill make a list of the top 10 and bottom 10 later
Did they have their phantom draft in this publication?

They've gone so soft on predicting things they only have a "who they are looking at" section. Don't even put the usual "draft range" on player profiles.
Given the depth and overall evenness of this draft that's not really a surprise imo. Difficult to predict who goes where, all you can do is look at what each team might need and then guess.

They should have a crack.

Trouble is "experts" piecing together all the inside word and doing a phantom just before the draft and everyone remarking how accurate it was. Now nobody wants to be the guy who got ut wrong, so we have lost a fair amount of intel on how the draft shapes and the way player ratings chop & change.

Not saying they shouldn't, just that this is a particularly difficult draft to predict. I don't think there will be a single club coming out of this draft that isn't pleased with their respective hauls aside from Hawthorn (who don't currently enter the draft until Pick 88) and Melbourne (who's first pick is currently Pick 47, but that could fall outside the top 50 once academy and father-son bidding is complete).

Agreed, would much prefer if they did rankings based on how they rate the talent.

Despite receiving a solid second round selection (pick 29) for Michael Hibberd, the Bombers will be looking to fill the void of this damaging backman. As a consequence, it appears likely that Essendon will be intent on drafting a backman who can break the lines – particularly with efficient disposal like Hibberd.

The Bombers have some quality key position players returning in Hurley and Hooker, but would be content in strengthening its stocks in this area. Their two age pick-ups last season were a success, with Mitch Brown and Michael Hartley both showing positive signs throughout season 2016, so a young KPP would help compliment their book-ends for the future.
Another facet the Bombers may look to bolster is their outside run, already possessing a quality inside midfield featuring Watson, Heppell, Merrett and the emerging Darcy Parish. Their outside midfielders in Brendon Goddard, David Zaharakis and Brent Stanton are aging, and while Colyer and Howlett will provide pace, a quality young speedster could add a lot to a progressing Essendon list.

Such a good laugh, those needs.
Howlett, a known outside runner.
Things we need: HBFs.....

Things we need: HBFs

We do, though not desperately. Specifically attacking HBF's. Goddard, Kelly probably only one year left, Baguley two. Gleeson, Mckenna and Dea might be AFL quality but doubt any will reach an elite level. Jury obviously still out on Morgan.

Whoever wrote that simply wants to invent reasons to say why we'll choose McGrath.
Pretty much, attempting to justify a picking a player we don't really need (as good as he is) by making stuff up. It doesn't take a genius to see we've got more than adequate replacements for Hibberd already and that Howlett isn't a quick player, he's a plodder.

Fellas, we've conducted a phantom draft over on our board(feel free to go have a look) and i was selecting for your mob, i ended up with
1: Mcluggage
20: Bolton
29: Scharenberg
41: Ridley

just curious about thoughts/comments on that haul?
I like it. SPP unavailable at 20?
