Was great from
Hawkins as opposed to poor by Garth imo.

Still has a ways to go undoubtedly. But when you remember Grimes, Astbury, Rance and Broad in their first three seasons, it's no reason to give up hope on Garth.

Posters on an internet forum calling him a squib means bigger all to the compensation we should get. A 5 year $600k per season deal equates to an end of first round compo pick.

That's based on his mangers comments regarding the value of the contract being offered and he'd be the only one commenting on it that actually knows the full details.

His manager said he might scrap in for band 2. Not he was gunna get band 2. And definitely not band 1 like the other poster said.

As I said, it's a coin toss between 2 and 3, which is exactly in line with what his manager said.

Basically said it must be taken into consideration that their compo was used to get Ablett from the Gold Coast (not sure why the system is designed to facilitate Geelong & Gold Coast trades - if they can’t get a deal done, stiff sh*t). Then he said the fact we have been the best team over the past three years should be taken into account. They literally make up rules as they go along. Needs to be more black and white otherwise scrap FA compo all together.
