Without researching I'm guessing that prior to that the last star we lost who made a difference was Ottens.

Don't worry. The team coaches itself. Jack and Tom work things out up forward. Optimus, Astbury and Flossy work things out down back. The mids rotate depending on what Dusty feels he needs to do.

I don’t care how highly rated this Rowell kid is. To consider sending one of your most prominent players to the Gold Coast against their will for a speculative draft pick is absurd. Does Collingwood have any regard for culture at all? I hate the pr*ck, but imagine how sh*t you’d feel if you were Treloar. He’s the mouthpiece for their group, constantly banging on about their togetherness and love for one another, then here’s their list manager who is plotting to trade him up to the Gold Coast at the drop of a hat for an unproven kid. F***ing lol.

Is this for real? I’m on shitty Wi-Fi in Bali so I can’t research it too well for myself but that’s crazy.

Could only think it’s to get a ready to go midfielder of comparable skill to Treloar while lowering their TPP to resign Grundy, DeGoey and Moore.

Yeah it’s for real. How much of an impact can Rowell make? As good as Walsh was this year, he was still miles off Treloar’s output.

I remember the experts saying Bryce Gibbs is the best midfielder they’ve ever seen, Tom Scully was going to be the GOAT, Jack Martin is the best junior of all time, Jaeger O’Meara will be the best player in the AFL, Jesse Hogan and Tom Boyd are the next Wayne Careys, Jack Lukosius is a once in a generation talent, etc. Even Lloyd said Luke Davies-Uniacke is the best junior he has ever seen. Walsh is the only player who has semi-delivered on the hype and he still has a long way to go.

These kids get hyped up every year. Rowell is speculative until he’s proven at the highest level.
