Personally the dumbest things in the last few years was to recruit Beams and Wells. Wells cost 1.8 Million for 15 games and Beamsy two first round picks.
Last years ‘first round’ pick ended up being 21 and this years will end up being around the same, not to mention we needed to get rid of last years first due the bid for Quaynor eating it up anyway. Honestly, they way people go on about that trade you’d think we gave away two top 10 picks...

Depends on what you define as returns... we're crying out for a KPF to take marks/provide aerial contests... Cox has that in spades (2018 = 61 contested marks) but low volume possessions and has no real consistency to his game (his off weeks are atrocious and numerous)

Jenkins has averaged 1.1-1.5 contested marks his entire career as a forward, his goals always seem to come from 'joe-the-gooses' rather than a big clunk and goal. The way we play (leaving Stephenson/De Goey/Elliot) as last man and speedy forward will mean he never gets his normal supply of goals with us.

The "built like Tarzan, plays like Jane" adage could not be more apt for Jenkins and on that basis alone should be a hard pass from us.

James Stewart was a potential father-son we ignored, and out of contract next year at Essendon... he should be coming into his prime if he's any good, was there a knock on him early days? His highlight reel on youtube isn't too bad for a big man - just hasn't had the exposure at AFL level continuously (drafted by GWS so sat behind a lot of talent, and Essendon been injured/out of form?) Change of scenery might help...? (I assume he grew up barracking for us?)

Stewart is shit, there’s a reason we didn’t take him in his draft year.

Looks as though Pies are set on Darcy Cameron to play forward next year. Would the Pies want to play 3 talls with Cox, Cameron and Mihocek?
No, he’s depth unless we move Cox on.

We need to move on.
Agreed Tom is a fine player but would be less so at the Pies because of AFL interference - look at how firstly the Roccas, then Cloke and now Cox have been mistreated by umpires with no redress from the AFL.

No if we get a top forward he will be stymied as effectively as Cox has with the enthusiastic help of the umpiring fraternity and the AFL.

Move on Dave.

How dare you use logic like that.

With the Aints chasing Ryder, Hill and now Sam Gray.... they'd love our pick 35 or so. Anything of value on the saints list?

Personally I'd look at Oscar Clavarino. 197cm defender
Reckon we’ll need our 2nd round pick for Howard if he leaves and wants us. Otherwise I prefer we use it on best available KPF.

Wells absolutely yes, jury out on Beamer....if a fit Beams was playing last week, we’d be playing tomorrow.
Yes we would be. We did receive picks back for Beams which we used for points to get Quaynor and Kelly.
And if Beams comes back and plays two years of footy like his talent provides, then we will be all the closer to winning a flag.
Ultimately, when assessing the overall back and forward trading between Collingwood and Brisbane with Beams from when he left to coming home, we are spectacularly ahead. Thank you Brisbane for De Goey, Crisp and Greenwood.

True. Howard might cost that. Forgot about him.

There will be nothing KPF wise available at that point of the draft. I think the club will bring in D Cameron and persevere with playing Reid (1 more year), Cox, Miochek and look to develop Wilson and Kelly further

KPF quality and depth will still be a weak point for us a year from now
