Dixons seasons at Port over 4 years =
23 games,
20 games,
9 (injury year)
and to date 12 out of 13 games played missed rnd 1.

Looks pretty reliable to me.
And if Hawkins/kennedy is anything to go off, his age isn’t an issue. Jesus if all he wants is 600k for 3 years, that’s a deal!

Imagine a situation where we end up with Ben Brown and Charlie Dixon in our forward line and can send JDG into the middle full time. Mihocek as the third type and Sidey, Elliot and Stevo inside 50... Best not to get my hopes up haha.

IMAGINE....lol

Oh I forgot he was a Queenslander.... Off to Brisbane he goes. Ah well, I guess there’s always Jessie white or the q train

Dixon is from Cairns which is very different than being from Brisbane. Gold Coast also very different than Brisbane.

Watching them just makes me think we need to move hine on even more. We need fresh recruiting

Development plays a massive part in it too.

Tigers have got a lot things right off field as much as on.

When we lost Craig Macrea from development i reckon it hurt more then most would admit.

Assistant Coach, forwards

McRae, a triple premiership player at Brisbane, returned to Tigerland in 2016, where he worked as a development coach from 2007-09.
After leaving Richmond, he had one year back with the Lions as a development coach, before joining Collingwood as development manager.
He enhanced his reputation for cultivating young football talent throughout a five-year stint with the Magpies, winning the AFL Coaches Association’s inaugural Development Coach of the Year Award in 2014.
After helping a young VFL group emerge in 2016, McRae led the Richmond VFL side to the Grand Final in 2017, and a top-of-the-table finish in 2018, before both campaigns fell short.
McRae was awarded the AFLCA Assistant Coach of the Year and VFL Coach of the Year in 2019 after leading the VFL side to a premiership.
In 2020, he will move into the AFL program as a line coach.

We need to throw the sink at a ready to go key forward or before we know our premiership window will have past. One of Dixon, Brown, Cameron, Daniher (great mates with Grundy) or Hogan are a must

He had fundamentally different views toward coaching and game plan to Bucks iirc....

The obsession with sending one of the competitions best forwards into the middle is nauseating.
