Swap Hogan for Taberner.Gunston to Pies
Elliot to Hawks
Checkers to Freo
Hogan to Pies???
Don’t think I like it! But maybe it’s good?? I dunno! Thoughts?

We trade out a player who is the worst butcher going around.
The biggest problem with Phillips is that he does actually get the ball.
The only problem with this is that I just love the way Checkers goes about it. He is a quintessential pie and I love watching him. There are better options out there for sure, but man this guy...well it would break my heart to see him go. What can I say?Gunston to Pies

Gunston is 28. How many years do we offer him? He could be handy in a coaching role to help develop Degoey Stevo and Kelly! Has helped other teams ex hawks have gone to!

Mate we’re talking about a contracted player who’s capable at both ends and can kick 50 goals a year. If Checkers was a 50 goal player and someone came and offered us a second rounder and Phillips equivalent you’d laugh him off the board. We're not trading our first for Gunston unless we get something good with him in return. Phillips and a 2nd imo is pretty fair.
What role exactly will Gunston play in our side? We still need a KPF. That is a gaping hole in our side at the moment.
I’d happily trade next years first (stronger draft) and Phillips. We should be trying to upgrade this years first to ensure a pick before Reef imo.It would be worth it pies biggest issue has always been a reliable goal kicking fwd that can do a bit of everything, not like the first Is gonna be a top 12 pick. Well see how it plays out but Phillips a 2nd won’t even get the convo started
Yeah, I really get it. But jeez I'd miss him.Me too. It’s just the Longmuir connection at Freo. He’s in to him also!! If he goes get Hogan, set him straight (hopefully the BS is behind him anyway) turn him into the next plugger for the next 10 years! Build a new fan favorite!!

Both ends? I don't think so, purely a forward no doubt Clarksons thrown him back a few times. I just don't think think at 28 he's worth an early first roundMate we’re talking about a contracted player who’s capable at both ends and can kick 50 goals a year. If Checkers was a 50 goal player and someone came and offered us a second rounder and Phillips equivalent you’d laugh him off the board.

Thanks for pointing that out. I wasn't sure why North were happy to move Brown on.Logan McDonald wold go to North pick 2 or 3?you’d think. No wonder they’re happy to offfload Brown. If pies can’t trade into top 10 to secure Reef with second pick then trade it out. Get Norfs first rounder 2021 (prob pick 1 or 2) and swap some players (Brown for peanuts)! Happy days!

Interested to know what about this you disagree with whiskeytownMate we’re talking about a contracted player who’s capable at both ends and can kick 50 goals a year. 192cm Gunston is near enough a KPF. Marks well overhead. Takes one of the bigger KPDs to man up on him.
Gunston in conjunction with De Goey, Mihocek, Cox/Kelly... we then have a number of mobile 190cm plus players up front who are good overhead.
That forward line would be a nightmare to match up on. Small-mid defenders get manhandled and big 195cm defenders are too slow, or can’t keep up
Can we get Brown AND Gunston.
That really isn’t that much it’s just brining Gunston but that already looks so much better. I’d rather we get rid of Phillips than Elliott. If we could snag a top 10 talent this year it looks quite promising.I would love to get Gunston. Much prefer him to Brown. Gunston can create his own goals as well as mark and is mobile. Creates a dangerous forward line with a good mix of height and young guys improving next year for competition.
This would be my 22 and ideal trade window:
FB: Maynard // Roughead // Crisp
HB: Quaynor // Moore // Noble
C: Daicos // Pendles // Sidebottom
FOLL: Grundy // Adams // Treloar
HF: Gunston // Mihocek // WHE
FF: De Goey // Cox // Stevo
INT: Howe // Elliot // Sier // Phillips
Rotation options
Def: Mayne // Madgen // Keane // Murphy
Mid: Greenwood // Ty Brown // Cal Brown // Bianco // Rantall // Lynch // McInnes
Fwd: Ruscoe // Kelly // JT // Wilson // Cameron
Draft/Trade:
Delist, trade or retire
- Trade next years first for first round this year
- Pick best available first pick
- McInnes second pick
- Then look for sliders
- Trade Elliot/Phillips/WHE plus pick/s for Gunston
Langdon // Varcoe // Beams // Shaz // Dunn // Reid // Broomhead // Appleby // Wills // Tohill // Atu
Lots of cuts unfortunately but I think it’ll be required for next year. Could see 4/5 of those guys retiring regardless.
