I mean fair enough. I’m just fan of Checkers when he can play as 3rd tall. And if we move Moore up front then we need to find another AA level tall defender?

I think maybe Gunston and Browne are past their prime. Great players and good pickups for not much but a gamble.
if we can’t get Jezza or Hogan use Darcy and Kelly forward. Recruit a defender if possible. I just feel a Hail Mary type scenario for Bucks and co. much as clarko has attempted the last couple of years.

Spot on mate, don't know why we would move one of the best backs in the game forward. He saves our skin constantly back there.

What’s Gunston’s contract value over the next two years?

If we involve our 2021 pick for him, I’d hope we would also be negotiating a 2020 first round pick upgrade.

Hawks have finished 9th & 15th.

He would improve our forward line dramatically.

Id be going hard at Gunston. I think part of our dysfunctional forward line is due to a lack of a forward leader down there with real tactical/organisational nous.

Not only would we get a 50 goal forward, we’d get someone who could marshall the troops on field. An intangible that’s often overlooked but hugely important.

I like Checkers as a third tall as well, Gunston is just a better player in that role.

We don’t need to find another AA level tall defender. We just need to have solid players with solid structure down there. Richmond won a premiership after Rance did his acl. They didn’t replace him with an AA key defender.
