Wishing Rhyce all the best. Hope he gets the support & help he needs to get through this.

Some clubs have NFI - they appoint a young coach and offer no support and effectively break him with the unnecessary pressure and stress. On the NM board they’ve been talking about this for a while and are suggesting Shaw has been left to carry a far heavier load due to massive upheaval and disruption at the club.

NM board have a lot answer for.

I wish Ryce the best of luck and a speedy recovery.

The club would be tight lipped about a Treloar trade unless it's sure to land a big player. That's the only circumstance in which you would announce it.

It's not about making room for Moore and DeGoey; you make that room through Phillips types. You move Treloar for a big name. Someone of Merrett's stature doesn't fit the bill.

I 10000% agree that Treloar wants to leave. It’s just all a media spin imo.
I don't see AT playing those stupid games to be honest. He comes across os one of the most genuine, honest blokes you could possibly find. If he really wanted to leave there's no chance he would be making such definitive statements about wanting to stay. I don't think that sort of bulldust is in him.

I love the guy, but accept that he has his limitations. When he renegotiated his contract, I wouldn't be surprised if the apparent back-ended portion was done for the clubs benefit, not Adams. Now that its coming home to roost, I think its pretty ordinary to push him out and deny him his 'better earning' years of his deal. I don't think he should be made the scapegoat for our salary cap problems. I can't recall him ever being public about wanting more money or years like some of the other guys. If there is any truth in that article, I find it pretty bloody average from the club.

If you said to me that both Adam and the club have mutually agreed to find another arrangement, I could dig that. We would no doubt get a pretty decent return and salary cap relief at the same time. But to shunt him like this is horrendous imo.

*****If there's any truth to it of course.

That's the best idea he's had. Moore in the ruck not so much.

Grundy and Treloar out. *Double chef kissy fingers*

Guess we be heading back down the Ladder again next year then

could not possibly agree more with this. He seems as though would also be a great team mate the only sticking point is I though he renegotiated the longer term and it was front ended.

quite funny that the blokes that re sign no fuss want to be at the place are the ones being shunted

If the club see him as our most tradeable commodity, then the club will have to convince him that Qld is the best option for him.

good luck if it came down to it and were pushing me out I’d be telling them where I’m going and if that’s staying in Melbourne too bad

Absolutely! Unless someone here has a direct connection to Cameron, they don’t know what he’s thinking or how he feels. Is the likelihood that he’ll end up in Geelong? Looks that way, and that’s fine, but don’t blow smoke up our collective arses by making statements about what he wants or what he loves etc, because it’s all bullshit. We know nothing about what he wants.
I hear somebody around the traps here, dates Jeremy’s sister 😏

Steveos been stalking my big footy. I better let him know I don’t work for the club

Moving Darcy Moore as ruck would be very interesting. I cannot imagine other rucks who would be able to keep up with him... he's so quick and athletic for a 6'8 guy.
He would be tackling and defending throughout the ground... he would be able to present as a scoring option as he runs away from his opposition.... he would be able to drop down in the back 50 when Pies need to clamp down.

Pies would need another tall defender to slot in his spot though...

Just really interesting idea.

I dont see how he wont average 20 disposals as a ruck.
We have a dual AA ruck and Moore now AA back and you want to take both of them out of their AA positions. 😂😂😂 Sure because Grundy would make a great forward or back.

I think we can improve the midfield depth but also think our failures there have much more to do with our structures and tactics than personnel. A coaching group that has access to Pendlebury, Adams, Treloar, Sidebottom, De Goey and Daicos shouldn't get beat as often as it does. I lay that at the coaches feet.
And how many games did that group play together this year ?

Just asking a question mate Didn’t say GC would do it 👍. I know it’s wishful thinking

Absolutely no probs mate.

Generally speaking I think the days of swapping players is dead. Except for the rare case it is an area of surplus for each respective team.

To continue the analogy/metaphor... sometimes you are willing to sacrifice that extra bedroom in order to get the second shitter.
