Reid wont be leaving at the end of 2025 and will most likely be end of 2026 if he decides to leave
by them we will have $12 mil in the cap to splurge on either a free agent or a trade

We did it with Lynch and that worked out well so why wouldnt we do it with a younger player like reid

I think it's silly to write him off after how good his debut season was.
clearly he isn't 100% fit and doesn't seem interested at the Eagles all talk has been around him leaving before season started, it doesn't come from nowhere.

He’ll never be dropped. Would do too much damage to his and the clubs brand. They just have to work through it.

Its not one bad game, its a hollywood 1st season then a fat pricks party in the off season, then a start to the next season with a shit attitude.

cant see it. their list is in noman's land. enough quality to ensure mid table finishes and finals flops with no 'big stage' players. realistically they need another rebuild, keep the few good cards they have and push the rest back to the dealer. dodildo killed them.

More likely to win a spoon in the next few years than a premiership. What A-graders do they have coming through? Maybe Kakko and Caddy. Most of their early picks from the last 5 years look like busts. Merrett is 30 this year, everyone else is B grade or worse and/or injury prone.

Reid had a massively interrupted pre-season. The pile on led by Kane Cornes, is ridiculous. Kid is going to be a ****ing star.

JHF had just as many poor moments on the weekend. They're kids, playing in teams getting thumped.

caldwell had an insane game and would help their cause if he produces like that every week but their youth is almost entirely meh and the guys that should be hitting their prime are mostly ineffective, stat padders or one-way runners with no hurt factor.

We have to look at him, talent on the table like that and being in the position we are draft capital and cap-wise we'd be stupid not to.

But, from what we've seen of him I'd say he doesn't currently align with our 'richmond man' standards and compromising that for one big bucks player could have a flow-on effect on our culture.

Going for Reid if the club wants that's fair enough, but if we have to pay overs for him then I'm keeping away.

I don't think his poor performance has anything to do with his contract and want to come home, it has everything to do with him not wanting to put the effort in which is a shame because if you were him, you'd want to be the best player in the comp surely.

If he did end up here, you'd just hope he has a look around and sees just how hard players around his age are working their butts off and it snaps him out of the laziness.
