In a lot of ways if WCE know he wants to go, they are better off doing it this year with more contract tied to him for a higher price to be paid.

Same as us with Bolton and Rioli.

I actually think we are very well placed to have a fair crack at this if we wanted to.

I think if it was Reid for pick 1 this year you would do it. The trouble is there is talk the Eagles will expect more than that. Personally I woudn't pay anything extra as while he is good his attitude doesn't seem great and fitness wise he has alot to conquer. Would I give a Sam Lalor and a Smilie for Reid....no.

It gives the Eagles an out. They tried...he doesn't want to stay so they can have another crack with a WA lad.

He needs to humble himself a bit.
