He misses half the pre season through nagging injuries and now all of a sudden he's lazy, FIGJam, arrogant, poor attitude blah blah blah whatever else the media click bait scumbags want to say about him to get eyeballs. After one game !

A game in which he kicked an incredible goal by the way.

Some of you sound like gossiping old hens, loyally repeating and trotting out ANY piece of garbage you hear and relishing it.

Its one thing to have an opinion, but that's different to saying Harley Reid is something you heard someone else say or you assumed. The kid is 19. Stick to the facts. If you don't know what a fact is then that's on you. Your opinion, or something you heard is not a fact.

He's getting double teamed, roughed up, hard tagged at every contest because they know if he gets the ball, something good is going to happen. That's something every top notch player has to work through.

The hysteria surrounding this is ridiculous...but that's exactly what the media want...chumps repeating their lies over and over on socials.

HR hasn't been in trouble with the law, hasn't been smashing up nightclubs off his face, destroying hotel rooms, doing drug deals in hotel carparks, posting his penis online, being violent towards women...he's just a teenager trying to play footy.

Or why he was trying to fight anybody that tackled him ?
what about why he didnt gut run like he was in his 1st year ?
Or looking like an idiot flopping like a soccer player

Sam lawla coming off a massive hamstring last season and a broken jaw with concussion just 5 weeks ago was able to come into the team after his 1st preseason ever has been able to get his fitness upto afl level and show more fight

I really hope the kid goes well and the leadership snap him out of what we seen last sunday and has a great career

No we're not on the window but he can helps us get to that window alot quicker.
His first year was outstanding.
His start this year isn't ideal but everyone will have a fair idea by June too make a play or not.

It would depend on what the rest of Harley’s year looked like and what guys like Rodriguez, Sharp, Greeves etc… look like.

If we watch the season and it’s blindingly obvious we need more pace then Harley makes less senses. If instead we look poor around stoppage and contest hard to say no to him.

Depends on where our picks end up landing and the quality of the open draft. At present the top ten look compromised and there are perhaps 4 that would suit our list - Greeves, Sharp, Rodriguez and Duursma. Others could jump in but right now these are the ones.

West Coast look a high probability of getting pick one and if they push Oscar Allen out (which I think they will do) they will have 1 and 2. We should finish above them and get 3 and pick 4 with Norths pick.

So assuming these top 4 are the guns of the draft If be hesitant to give up two picks for Harley. If he does a knee or doesn’t develop we’ve sold the farm. 2 high picks derisk it.

Best case for us draft wise is we finish last and west coast sign Oscar. We get picks 1 and 3 and get Sharp and Reeves to complete our midfield.

It probably wouldn't be our first two picks outright though. It might be more like pick 1 + the value of around pick 10-12 via some convoluted pick swapping. Or we trade our first 2 picks and get something back in the 10-15 range.

Key backs should be all set with McKay, Reid, and Ridley?

And forward line could use a big target for sure, but the best of Wright if he ever gets back there, plus a young Caddy should be enough? Langford plays tall and is very good too (I'm aware both Wright and Langford are now injured).

I was thinking they might try coax Daniher back out of retirement but guessing that ship has sailed.

After what Reid pulled in game last weekend, he can't be trusted to play for the team he is in. I don't care if people think he is a gun, if he has no pride when things are tough then it's a personality flaw. You learn more about someone when things are hard, not when easy. Rather Oscar Allen anyway.
