Dons will want to trade back in and would be a fabulous death-ride in 2025. We know 14 became a Blues F1 & F2 - I’d want a fair bit more than that. Cats likely, but they make me nervous.

Looking forward to seeing the offers. Hoping they’ll be large, but wouldn’t be keen on bringing in F1’s that aren’t likely to be top 10’s. Always a risk they aren’t, too

For everyone getting excited about trading for pick 2, just remember that the Dees can trump us with 5 & 9 for 2 & 25, which North would be mad to knock back as it gets them Tauru and Armstrong if they want to address their KPP stocks

That's assuming Melbourne would actually want to do that deal. It's already questionable if it's worth it for us, with Melbournes higher picks it's even worse value for the.

The dees only have picks 5 & 9. Their 40s pick will go to Brisbane for Sharp. They won't trade 5 & 9.

Correct but pick 2 gets them whoever we don't take and ahead of Carlton as well.

Can't see the dees doing that though. Massive overpay.
25 part of the Caleb Daniel deal if north want him as well is a spanner in the works.
North want massive overs for 2 so just think it doesn't happen.

However if it did, then it would be the worst possible result for us as means Dees take a gun mid at 2 and north go 2 best talls at 5&9.

If nothing happens, could see north reaching for a tall at 2 (means a jagga could slide to 6) and there would still be a quality tall at 10 for us (Armstrong / Shanahan)

If that's a massive overpay then songs 6 & 10/11 that some are suggesting we do.

As I said last night I'd prefer to go to the draft with 1, 6, 10, 11 or 18, 14, 20, 23 & 24. Take 8 kids in the first round basically and given our rebuild the best foundation to work from

If Norf were prepared to offer a future first for pick 13, I think they would do pick 2 and a future first for 5, 9 & Melbournes F2

It’s the afl so you can expect they’ll do nothing as most people have no idea about agents so there are no virtue signalling PR points to score.

Also this isn’t a problem unique to AFL, player agents in NBA and soccer basically have a monopoly over player movement… and given their usually less than ethical nature they’ll go full scorched earth if you try take their power.

He was on SEN discussing the suite of picks we will have come 7:30pm tonight. And said they will be trading out some picks in the 20s to high bidders however he expects that we have our sights firmly on Pick 2 and definitely have the capital to get it done.

Lalor and FOS would be an insane draft haul.

In an even draft the advantage of trading multiple top 30 picks for 1 higher pick is diluted .
I believe we should keep as many picks as possible inside the top 30 .

Trading for pick 2 is ONLY worth it if it’s for FOS.
Assuming we take Lalor at 1 and then trade aggressively for pick 2 only to take jagga or Langford and still miss out on FOS, that would be disgusting for us.

Would rather keep 6 and 11 and just get Draper/langford/smillie/reid at 6 and then a Travaglia/armstrong/slider at 11

If we get Pick 2 it's 99% Lalor and FOS.

We love Jagga but I think the 2 above have massive upside and would compliment each other.
