They can develop in the AFL like Cotch & Dusty.
AbsolutelyYep.
It’s a given that Prestia and Hopper won’t play a full season.
With their track records it would be lucky if we could get half our season into them.
With Graham, Baker and Bolton leaving it does leave us short with mature bodies to protect our new kids. Whoever we draft I don’t want them slaughtered from the get go and **** their development by having them battered by the get go.
By all means Dow isn’t the long term solution but he is insurance for a season when we inevitably get injuries.
we still have hopper, taranto & prestia (for at least a third of the season) to protect & be workhorses in the seniors, bleak outside of that, hopefully mcauliffe gets ahead of dow thoughRemember who protected these boys early days?
Jackson, Tuck, Cousins, Foley, Miles.
Cotch and Dusty went into the middle in spurts early in their careers but there was a reason Dusty was so durable for a vast majority of his career. We never made him do the donkey work in the middle that the others could do and this kept his body in tip top shape.
First year players hardly ever play midfield in their first year and if they do it’s only for very limited cameoswe still have hopper, taranto & prestia (for at least a third of the season) to protect & be workhorses in the seniors, bleak outside of that, hopefully mcauliffe gets ahead of dow though
just means there's room for draftees that earn a call up
or it means there's room for the worst train-on player we've ever seen taking games from draftees

Taranto, Hopper, Prestia, Nank & Ross?
Hopper and Prestia will be lucky to play 25 games collectively.
Nank usually misses 4-6 games a year on average.
Although this years injury toll was absolutely ****ed, all it takes is a niggle to Ross or an unlucky injury like what happened to Taranto this year with his wrist and all of a sudden we have a VFL level midfield and first year players that have to somehow be competitive.
They are eyeing off our pick's #23 or #24Geelong mulling plans to move up draft order
"We'll work through what that looks like."www.zerohanger.com
The tiges should have a crack at Cats F1 and F2 picks. The cliff has been a long time coming. Lose Jeremy Cameron and they'll finish bottom 4. Can easily see them finishing 12 - 14 with their hard top 6 draw.
Imagine when we are kicking 4 or 5 goals a week next yearGoing to be a tough month or two for some posters on this board

You're misinterpreting my respectful wows.I’ve got you bro despite your very disrespectful wows
My issue with it is next years draft is meant to be shallow. So the question is is player 24 this year worse or better than say player 10 next year? They are eyeing off our pick's #23 or #24
