Gee I feel like a lot of people on here have forgotten that 1st round draftees get 3yr contracts instead of 2 now.
Don’t understand why there’s so much smoke around Reid for us at the end of this year? Why wouldn’t we wait until his contract is up in 2 years while we are rebuilding?

Because if Reid does not resign with the Eagles, then they will shop him at the end of the year for the best they can get. Essendon will have 2 first rounders in 2025 and possibly 2 future picks to use.
