They also seem to overlook/ not get that these contracts benefit the vendor club.
Player wants out mid deal? Sure. Overs
They acknowledge it when it suits them.

Barrett saying 10+11 is overs for Bolton, 6 is overs for Rioli.
Also said O'Rourke has been silent all year then pops up and talks tough at the b&f, why doesn't he talk tough and hold Rioli and Bolton to their contracts

Purple has never held any office at any football club. His opinions are obviously worthless. The fact he ever manages to bleat this stuff out with a straight face is miraculous.

Barrett is just a mouthpiece for the CFL

Let's trade #1 and all our late picks to Brisbane for will ashcroft and steak knives oh I dunno kai lohmann. They get to match levi bid and draft Marshall and we get some young unproven talent win win

Median number of coaches votes received by players taken with picks 10 & 11, combined & across their whole careers, is 27.5.
Brownlow votes? 6.5.
ie. 1.4 BOGs each, for their entire time in the AFL

Bolton alone could have more than that by round 5.
It might just be overs (it isn’t), but it’s certainly not expensive

FWIW, if 10 & 11 became pick 2, then the coaches votes median rockets to 88.
Brownlow votes? 33.
If we can trade up, hit it

I still think we are putting way to much into this years draft. I get it’s a good draft and we will get good players but we can also get good players next year too.
It’s also important for trade currency incase a key forward wants out or something unforeseen happens.
I really want to spread it over the next 2-3 drafts if we can.
Rioli + 44 + 50 for 6 and GC future first.
Shai + salary for 10 + 11.
Baker for 14.
Late picks for a first rounder.
Then draft night shift 24 into next years first round to the highest bidder.
2024 picks
1-6-10-11-14-(first rounder)
2025 first round picks
Own
GC
(Highest bidder for 24)

i'd like us to use 10 and 14 for pick 2 or 3, or baker and 10 for 3, WC keep 14
go to draft with 1, 3, 6, 11, 13?(GC) and 20 (lions)

Lets get another first in next year's draft at least. Look at how Tauru come from absolute nowhere to be a likely top 10 pick prospect. We only have obvious names at the moment like Sharp but there could be a couple bolters.

GC are trying to get more first rounders for next year. They aren’t trading out of it.

But yes, we should look at doing a deal for another first rounder for next year.

Geesi thought AFL =CFL….NRL says…hold my beer…pure corruption
if only the cfl assisted us to a fourth flag during our dynasty

instead they changed the rules to stop us after our 3rd

tall poppy cfl
