Would this three-way trade be a solution?


Lions get: Beams

Pies get: Pick 5 and Greenwood

North get: pick 25 and pick 48



Lions lose: Pick 5 and Pick 25

Pies lose: Beams and pick 48

North lose: Greenwood

GWS do not need Pick 1, It's useless to them.

Yeah, nah. They have loads of so called "B+" and "A grade" talent on their list and as such will take pretty much every opportunity to get in what they consider "elite" talent through the door, even if it costs them two who are very good, especially if it fits a need.

At picks like 4 and 7 they would be looking at the likes of Wright (who would be years off and behind all of Patton, Boyd, Mumford, etc.) and then KPD options at 7, who look like being years off as well, so I think they would much prefer a Petracca, who is a type they have zero of and who could make an immediate impact and be an upgrade on most of their list. They are supposedly very, very keen on him.

North would have to be drunk to take that deal, and Varcoe is mediocre at best, Greenwood and Grima are way better players than him.

This makes perfect sense
Collingwood get their player and high pick they are after
North get a decent pick for greenwood, may even upgrade to 21 as a sweetener
