As I recall I was reasonably keen on him when he left Richmond, I figured maybe it was the shyte culture at that club holding him back. He's done SFA at Adelaide so it looks like I was wrong.Tambling delisted! Would be hilarious if we now pick him up after buddy is gone.... and actually turn him into a player.....
Anthony Miles.
Like most, only ever heard good things about him. A mystery to me why he didnt get more games. A few GWS supporters scratching their heads over his delisting.
Would personally take him over Mav Weller as the only DFA aquisition. Young enough to surely not have reached his potential and with the window still ajar, wont necessarily be needed to play ASAP with hallahan woodward langford and anderson to be sussed out first.

Last year it was Johnno Simpkin - will be interesting to see if we have any one in mind this year.
If we were to look at somene, Anthony Miles recently delisted by GWS might be the one. Absolute ball magnet at u/18 level for the Murray Bushrangers / NSW ACT Rams and was All Australian. Inside player although does lack a yard of pace - in saying that however, it has never been a problem for the likes of Mitchell or Sewell.
Was denied opportunity at GWS purely based on the fact they had so many high draft picks.

This is where good list managers make their money. The expansion clubs have an abnormally high attrition rate, because they have to delist more to shrink their list.
Quality players will inevitably fall through the cracks.

It looks as if we have no interest in recruiting for Box Hill. Armstrong, Weller, Nahas and Addison have all gone elsewhere,
Perhaps we are looking at someone who might play a bit of AFL or have not spotted anyone of interest.

Why wouldn't GWS try using a player like Anthony Miles in a trade to upgrade one of their existing draft picks? Or perhaps they did try and clubs thought he was likely to be delisted and they could snatch him for free?
