Mega Thread Trade Period: Lets get that delisted guy. He could be good, yeah?

I'd love that to happen as much as the next hawks supporter, But I think it will cost us a bit more than that. GWS are looking for Mature players more so than draft picks.

Not saying it would happen but if hawks are in the running to get Adams I do believe it will cost of something like lewis (A hard bodied midfielder, with leadership skills, a 2 time premiership player with a good 4 - 5 years left) and a downgrade in picks.
Something like
Hawks
In: Adams, GWS Second Round
Out: Lewis, Hawks First Round Pick

GWS:
In: Lewis, Hawks First Round
Out: Adams, Second Round

Not saying we would trade Lewis or Lewis is the type of player they are after. My point is to get talent we are gunna have to trade talent.

That would be okay as long as Adams is already at this stage either better or same level as Lewis. Neither Lewis or Sewell have had a great year this year. Lewis was very good last year when Hodge was injured. He will provide great leadership to either GWS or Melbourne. I have heard Melbourne's Pick 2 is open for a player like Lewis who has 5-6 years of footy left and probably will take over the captaincy.

Prefer to be trading sewell (one dimentional) and savage (has requested trade) than Lewis, but if Adams is going to provide us the leg speed that Lewis cannot and is as tough nut as Lewis and as good, if not better, then yes. I don't know of Adams stats and how consistent he has been. I take it would be more of a risk than trading sewell out.

For Longer we'd probably be after your first round pick and Savage. Doubt you'd want to lose Grimley with Buddy leaving and I doubt you would want to lose Hallahan with a few of you inside mids getting older.

We are stacked guys with young mids coming through. Not sure we would consider getting rid of Lewis. He played superbly in the Grand Final.

Is Adams really that good that he's worth Lewis and a downgrade in picks. Surely not.

Sav for Longer will do

I am not sure why Cotter 01, brisbane lion fan understood what I was talking about, yet other hawk supporters did not. I don't have a problem with 1st rounder (pick 19 or 20) and Sav for Longer as long as Longer is as good as everyone makes him out to be, similar to Grundy of Collingwood, can come in next year and ruck on his own for majority of game and have similar influence.

It all depends whether we can get Adams of GWS, there is tough competition from collingwood and Geelong. If we did, someone like Sewell will find it difficult to stay in the team and Hallahan to get in.

Grimley is an interesting one. He was in the development team last year and only started playing well in VFL this year. Except a goal in the seniors, I am not sure if he did too much, will have competition to get in. We will probably be too top heavy in fwd line with him in. Gunston at FF, Roughead at CHF is probably enough with probably Hale as resting ruckman.

It all depends how good Longer and Adams are, which most of us thing they are, then the players mentioned are the players that we can probably afford to lose and not effect our premiership chances and infact enhance it, Longer improves our ruck division and Adams speed, toughness, hunger at the contest.

If by that you mean to come straight in to the NAB cup team, then yes. But really, no one here knows how good he'll be in a match. Will have 9 months of preseason under him be the beginning of 2014 season, so hopefully all the nightmare is in the past and he can hit the new season in super fitness.

Buy the end of 2014 Taylor Adams wouldn't let Jordan Lewis tie up his boot laces, that's how good this kid is! If we got him and Longer we'd have 2 guys fighting for the captaincy within 3 seasons.

There's the room created for Longer should we get him. Hope he and Lowden can be the next great ruck duo.
