Yeh.....which club wouldn't want a player that's had dual knee reco's and is yet to play a game........really wtf!

It could be worse....it could be Hampson (god I hope he doesn't end up in Brown and Gold)

Brad Sewell for Taylor Adams, they need a seasoned in and under player and we need some young mids to replace the likes of Mitchell, Hodge and Burgoyne, with Sewell's departure it was also open the door for young Hallahan.

Brad Sewell would be lucky to net us a late second rounder...what makes you think that GWS would part with a very prom missing youngster for a 30 year old when they could get better value, a hell of a lot better value elsewhere.

Leon Cameron...the same reason we might end up with Darling.

Its not like we are desperately in need of a big name trade is it?

We have some pretty good guys to come back into the squad, and some handy youngsters available as well!
Sure, the ruck position is in need of some attention. And maybe you could look for a cheaper version of Franklin V2013 (ie a high half forward decoy...).

But we shouldn't just do a trade for the sake of it. Invest in some youth, and save the big offers for next year! (However, I have no doubt the recruiting department will do an awesome job once again!!).

Pure Fantasy.....Hawthorn means absolute sh*t to him right now. His priority first and foremost for his club and his career is getting the best team possible and not about giving freebies away to former employers.

Also channel 7 said Collingwood only entertaining high first round pick for trading Shaw

I'm hearing the Darling calls also, seems to be gaining momentum. Looking at what West Coast would want - they need ball winners and pace and Savage and Lewis fit that ( sav pace Lewis ball winning), they need some durability in defence, they are weak from the back end and Stratton fits that and is WA boy. I would love Darling, he has some great hands and is a hard man and would form a dynamic partnership with Gunston for the next 10 years.

What would we have to give up? I'd think a fair whack, toss of the coin.

They have a 10-year+ player in Adams & Sewell has 2 years to go at best. And there's plenty who'd suggest that Adams has already surpassed him.

Why would GWS do that?

Maybe Sewell + 1st Rounder puts us in a slightly better place but Adams is a High Pick himself & just finished high up in their B&F.

What the actual ****? Did you just put Ben ****ing Stratton up for a trade? My god trade week brings out all the crazies

Aww Man!! I would not be happy giving up Lewis (He's my future jumper replacement for Hodgey!!)

I also rate Stratts as a keeper, was great this year.

Darling fits the bill as a cheaper "He who should not be named", but not at that price!! (from a personal point of view of course!)

Jed had turned his back on GWS.

They had the opportunity to get something for him, and so they took it.

He was not traded to Hawthorn because Leon wanted to give us a gift.

The only way I can see to get an Adams or shuey without destroying the team is to trade a player like suckling who we can afford to lose but holds plenty if currency elsewhere for his kicking
Shuey and Darling are not going anywhere.

Both contracted. Both have stated they want to remain at the club. Both have had their manager state they have no plans to move. In both cases the club has confirmed they absolutely want them to stay.

We have a great squad at the moment...with great coverage.

Defence: Shoenmakers, Suckling, Duryea and maybe Cheney?
Mids: Anderson, Simpkin, Woodward, Savage?, Hallahan?
Fwds: Grimley? (Not living over east, I cant see Box Hill play. But apparently he did OK).

Litherland? unknown for me (again being in WA).

So really, a ruck to replace Bailey, and if we don't want Gunston to play the "Voldemort" role we will need a mobile high half forward.
No need to destroy the team for some shiny new recruit from another club.

But you don't know for sure, do you.

How much fun is trade week?
