Get himMurray KPF Matt Whitlock booted 5 today against the GWS Academy
noobermensch any chance you can clip up this game?
Trainor looks like best kpp, can’t see him getting last norf or hawI understood this year was going to be some kind of super draft for midfielders.
But going by the highlights I can’t see much depth beyond the first 3/4.
Then again I might be completely wrong about that.
But would be happy with Smilie , Smith , O’Sullivan.
If they aren’t available then Trainor. I think we need a high end mid but would be hard to go past him in that situation.
Listening to a podcast on AFL.com.au, think it was cal twomey, that said it’s shaping as a strong draft, particularly mids. Just need a couple of kpf to put their names up in lights 2nd half of the season.so this draft sucks?
No Smillie? Big 194cm pure midfielder and highly ratedMy current wish list for the draft:
1. Jagga Smith
2. Finn O'Sullivan
3. Sid Draper
4. Christian Moraes
5. Sam Lalor
6. Taj Hotton
7. Luke Trainor
8. Jack Whitlock
At the time I didn't think we'd be in position to get him as I had Hawks and North below us, that may well change given results today. No Smillie? Big 194cm pure midfielder and highly rated
More than 6 retirements/trades of current best 22 is almost too much. It’s a really weird time to be in this position but as a long term fan I’m excited to see the club go through this rebuild to see how we respond. I’m liking Yze so far, we’ve played with heart and had some exciting passages.
My club positions as follows
Premiership window/knocking on the door: Carlton, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, GWS, Geelong, Collingwood.
One step back: Port, Gold Coast
No man’s land: Essendon, Bulldogs, Freo, Adelaide, St.Kilda
Rebuild: Richmond, Hawthorn, North, West Coast
Based on that I think the Top 7 listed will play finals the next 3-4 years (maybe Geelong could slide), Port could slide and I think the no man’s land sides how found the true direction/sides yet.
We need to build for long term success and be able to play finals for 10 years.
Love these boys but I’d look to offload them best on where we sit and get some pics which we can go to draft and/or get an up and coming star if possible.
Rioli potential 1st Round
Baker 1st Round
Broad 2nd Round
Martin Retire Frees up cash
Prestia Retire Free up cash
Grimes undecided may go one more
Ralphsmith move on
McIntosh Float a trade may go to WA
Cumberland Float a trade
Graham Trade to SA
Pickett may go again but may get locked up
Players that need to elevate to the next level: Dow, Ross, Clarke, Coulthard, Brown, Mansell, Ryan, Sonsie, Banks, Campbell
Our lock for Top 23 if all fit: Vlaustin, Taranto, Short, Gibcus, Lynch, Balta, Hopper, Nank, Bolton, Brown, Young, Miller that’s only 12 when fit. We need a minimum of 5 from the players that need to elevate group especially Ryan.
That’s 17.
We need to find a solid spine and a midfield we’ll need to be very smart over the next two drafts and work on our medical team. We also need to make some big moves unfortunately otherwise there’s a fear we could be stuck in no man’s land.
Norf will beat us for sureGo North!
Hope soNorf will beat us for sure
William Bella get him!Get him
Son?William Bella get him!
At this point Josh smilie will be ours if we want him , norf aren’t going past trainor and we could be bottom in any caseOur first pick is going to be 1 or 2, hopefully we can get 3 inside first round with probable loss of Baker and trading picks to clubs that need points.
If they played us yesterday they win , we may have players back by then which will make a diff , I think our preferences will differ so moot point id sayNorf will beat us for sure
