Thoughts?I’m hearing AFL to scrap draft positions and introduce a lottery for the this years draft , thoughts people
Have you thought about doing an early 1st Round mock draft Arty ? Imagine Richmond have 3, 8, 16 and 18 which would be a mighty haul especially if we kept our (early) 2nd (likely to be (25 or so).My current wish list for the draft:
1. Jagga Smith
2. Finn O'Sullivan
3. Sid Draper
4. Christian Moraes
5. Sam Lalor
6. Taj Hotton
7. Luke Trainor
8. Jack Whitlock
Schmidt !Smithopolous
Getting Sinn and Binns would be too funnyList of players I wouldn't be mad at if the club decided to target:
Ruck: Ned Moyle
KPP: Shannon Neale, Gruzewski, Derksen, Busslinger, Isaac Keeler
Mid: Alex Davies, Will Phillips
HB/Wing: Cumming, Fahey, Sinn, Binns
HF: Spargo
I think he has been going through some personal things but he is on the podcast tonight with Michaels I'm pretty sure?Is Tiger71 with his micropenis still around giving us the insiders tea?
Have little knowledge about the draftees at present so it would be pointless really. I focus more on who I like that fits in with what I believe we need.Have you thought about doing an early 1st Round mock draft Arty ? Format:
1. North select etc
2. Hawks select etc
3. RICH SELECT - JAGGA SMITH etc
4. Eagles select etc...
Might be an interesting way to look at who we might reasonably target...
or perhaps a few of the draft nuffies here could do a way too early Phantom...
Yep you are correct on both fronts!I think he has been going through some personal things but he is on the podcast tonight with Michaels I'm pretty sure?
We will draft jagga he trained with us over summer so did grossHave little knowledge about the draftees at present so it would be pointless really. I focus more on who I like that fits in with what I believe we need.
At this stage I'd love one of Smith O'Sullivan's or Draper, then Lalor, if we have 2 top 10 picks. Then someone like Whitlock with a latter R1 pick. For me at this stage it gives us 3 players who address areas we need to boost
Pure domination in this game from Josh Smillie - a performance worthy of a number one pick. He was unstoppable at stoppage racking up 12 clearances for the game, he applied strong defensive pressure when he didnt find it himself, he set up his teammates by hand and foot, and he even got forward to kick three majors of his own.
After this showing he's now clearly out front in the race to be pick one at the end of the year. Can anybody catch him?
And Harley Reid. Bums the lot of em.Big mids who are physically developed worry me. Look at will Brodie and Ben Hobbs
It depends if they’re explosive as wellAnd Harley Reid. Bums the lot of em.
I get your point but this comes up every year. It might be a small risk but I don't think its much of one with Smillie myself.
Smillie looks like he has a turn of speed. Would say he’s quicker than Cripps and Green, but not as skilled or agile as bont. Not bad companyBig mids who are physically developed worry me. Look at will Brodie and Ben Hobbs

You haven’t got josh smilie in top 10 , wowHave little knowledge about the draftees at present so it would be pointless really. I focus more on who I like that fits in with what I believe we need.

As I've said numerous times, when I posted that I didn't expect us to be in the mix for him and I'm not sure we'll end up in the mix at seasons end either. You haven’t got josh smilie in top 10 , wow
Hmm not usual for me but I don’t share your optimism, we really need 2 of TT Hopper Ross back to make a real diff, that won’t happen for another 6-8w , and I’m resigned to not seeing lynch again this yearAs I've said numerous times, when I posted that I didn't expect us to be in the mix for him and I'm not sure we'll end up in the mix at seasons end either.
