How can we be taken seriously when there are certain sides with a bigger salary cap? What a joke.
How can we have a cost of living allowance justified to keep players in a city due to higher housing prices and then see it get used by 2 massive signings one year after another in order for them to move in to that city.
Buddy Franklin is going to use COLA money to buy a Bondi beach side pad. On which he will make money as an investment.
The COLA must go or be replaced by a 5,000 lump sum payment to any player drafted to Sydney in order to help them with legitimate differences in cost of living.
Sydney are rorting the COLA way more than Melbourne or any other club rorted the Priority Picks

Putting my anger at the COLA aside, this is very, very bad for GWS. $600,000 more than Sydney and $900,000 more than Hawthorn per year couldn't even get a big name. Not good at all for their long-term survivability.
That is definitely the elephant in the room, but I doubt it will get much of a mention in the mainstream media.
It will get dissected to the nth degree in the media. The media don't hold back from the issues. They are quite prepared to burn friendships for the sake of a headline. Look at Robbo and AD and Mike Sheahan and Clarkson.
