Firstly Hawks and pies are in the news about the move, why?? Eg. Eddie and Brereton, because it affects their premiership prospects in the next 2 years and others because they have been hurt with the realisation they have been too stupid not to see it IMO.

You may think I float with the wind, but I have been pretty consistent with my youth promotion and years ahead projections for our premierhip glory. For what it is worth I breathe the air around me.

Alright astute one, what is our list management strategy, how will it help us win a premiership. Don't need to get sensitive, don't need to mention names/players or years but what is the general approach and why against our strengths and weakness versus the oppostion?

Furthermore, I know what unreasonable is. I know what the Swans have done is reasonable within the rules and current political climate, I know tanking is unreasonable. The question is what is unreasonable to you and is your perception realistic IMO

Take this shit elsewhere, its not for this thread.

Is Sheil contracted?

Is Tyson > Sheil in the long run? From memory Tyson was silk as a junior. Almost Simon Black like. Because he's had a couple of injury plagued years his value has decreased a little. Both are contracted but who will be the better player? Sheil can shank as tigs has already stated but is still a damn good player.

What about this scenario.

Vickery, Foley and 11.

for

Adams, Tyson and 19.

GWS get 2 best 22 players and our first rounder.

I reakon McJesus may come on next year. Could Vickery be on the table and is that why we are looking at Hampson?

If the above were to happen Astbury could return to his natural position of being a forward.

Is Magic still peddling a Cotchin + Deledio trade for GWS's pick 1 because Boyd is guaranteed to be a superstar?

FWIW a mate of mine from uni played through the TAC system, knows both Patton and Boyd very well (having played with one of them). We were chatting about the draft the other day and he reckons Boyd is well overhyped, thinks Patton, injury permitting, will be a much better forward.

Said as a kid, Boyd was really fat and oversized, and only dominated because everyone else was smaller than him. Thinks his size advantage in the TAC system is why he is so good, he firmly believes Boyd will get found out once he gets to the AFL and starts playing on proper sized FB's with speed.

Not sure on Montagna. Great player no doubt. But wouldn't be cheap and for the price I'd rather go with our kids. Chappy cheaper interests me more

No its because they have an advantage that nearly all clubs cant match, which is why the afl is up in arms.

You have your opinions, which is fine, but that doesn't mean they are accurate either. Blind freddy could see our upward curve.

We follow the cats model in payment structure( stars on 650k tops, mid tier and bottom tier after that), to try to fit the most talent we can within our tpp. Remember we have still holes in our list but wont pay overs to get them and throw out our pay structure. We also follow the swans and hawks way of trading for needs within a pay model that we have. Remember we nearly already have all the stars we need, just the role players to make us better. If we can get another star, who has at least 4 years left and is within our pay scale system we would look at that too but wouldn't sell the farm to get him either. Simple and strategic system. This latest swans gamble smacks of the tigers of yesteryear.

Furthermore, I know what unreasonable is. I know what the Swans have done is reasonable within the rules and current political climate, I know tanking is unreasonable. The question is what is unreasonable to you and is your perception realistic IMO

That's not the context in which I was talking about. Unreasonable in that we can all float hail mary trades that in all probability wont happen so whats the point doing it. My take on what is reasonable is trades like adams/longer/Thomas and it also involves our ability to actually get the trade/job done.

And then, 3 minutes later:

@TFoenander: Kristian Jaksch's manager has sought to clarify situation about his client. 'He is uncontracted but he's going nowhere'.

Bahhhh. Sorry. But it was a story for 180 seconds!!

shift this to the appropriate thread with appropriate moderator assistance and with the moderators wishes I will gladly take you on, in goodwill discussion wise for the benefit of particularly the goodwill of RFC fans

The Jaksch disharmony was well discussed here during the year. Homesick, unhappy with the way an injury was managed (allegedly). Carey boy, mates with Hrovat, Dogs keen.
But yeah, maybe the Giants are buying him a puppy

We need to chase both Adams and Shiel very hard, would set up our midfield for the next ten years. Also would allow Deledio to play forward as we would have the depth in the midfield to play vlastuin and Ellis down back. I reckon Foley+Nahas+11 may get it done.

NReiwoldt vs Elton - watching Elton sprint at GF gave me confidence that he'll develop to be half as good as Nroo. so no to Nroo
Hampson vs Griffiths - both are soft peas when it comes to anything but big ben can kick 80m and play exact same roles as Megan Gale and even play defence so lets back him in. Also the rise of Mcbean.
Chapman - not sure we are the best club for him, Melb and Dogs should chase hard.
I'm more interested in another cat, not T.Hunt, the other Hunt. Josh Hunt. He could be our stewy dew or guerra and help release houli vlastuin and newman up the ground. Strong, medium pace and a lovely left foot.
Montagna - great replacement for white. runs all day. great goal sense. If we could secure joey and adams we'll make top 5 and possibly top 4 easy!
