Well North Melbourne have been horrible since the 2020 season.
If you are confident that North Melbourne will finish bottom 4 in 2025, why not take a risk of getting that pick with pick 24?

Yes. They were close to winning a lot of games but the kids faded out in the last quarter. It won’t take them much to rise up. Same as it won’t take much for a team previously in the 8 to bomb out.

Irrelevant. We won't trade pick 24 for any second-rounder because we'll get a first-rounder and then some.
It’s irrelevant where they finish. Pick 24 is the first pick of the second round in a strong draft and will be around pick 30 once bids come in.
Next years draft is weak and has as many if not more bids before the second round (like close to half the rated players are academy and F/S). We have no idea how much FA compo there will be either.
Only way we accept a 2025 2nd for any of our picks is if we are only dropping a few places in this draft.

Freo supporters are only sooking because they don't know what you've got. Come back in 12 months. You'll have forgotten all about what you paid for him and be banging on about how he's the most dangerous player in the game! Just like we do!
Kid is an absolute jet with pace to burn and can be untouchable! Can dominate forward and can dominate in the middle!
He can sit on tall defenders heads and burn small defenders on the deck!

If he did that every week he’d be unstoppable. He’s inconsistent. Picks and chooses when he wants too. Potential to be a top 10-20 player in the comp. Just not consistent enough

Shai to Freo is a win-win-win. Everyone got what they needed.
- Shai will play his best football with Freo. Fast tracks, home crowd, family support, winning team. He'll love it.
- Freo have a chance at winning a flag with Bolton in the team. He is icing on the cake. Perfect player at this time.
- Richmond got a couple of first round draft picks in a deep draft. We get to pick some new leaders.

AN AFL umpire has been rubbed out for the first round of next season after he dressed as Osama Bin Laden to an end-of-season function.
Umpire Leigh Haussen, who has officiated in 147 AFL games since 2017, dressed as Bin Laden to a umpires' post-season event, which was held in a private room at a Melbourne restaurant.
The theme of the function, held the day after the Grand Final, was 'characters from the 2000s'.
The AFL said Haussen changed into his costume at the venue and "wore a mask for only a short period of time before removing it".
Mind you…hardly a hanging offence

Name a half forward in a bottom team that isn’t inconsistent - half forward is called starvation corner for a reason. He’s finished top-5 in the B&F 5 x years in a row … inconsistent players don’t do that.

You need to remember, Richmond spoke with and could of had Bennell way before freo were ever a chance. When the GOAT is at the meeting and afterwards tells the coaching staff and recruiters "the bloke is a dickhead, don't touch him" then you know he was always going to fail at freo
Most of the blokes who post on here - and some of the girls - could have finished top five in this year’s b&f.

He’s finished top 5 in 2020/21/22/23/24… playing predominantly half forward.
Is there another half forward who has a more consistent run of B&F finishes across 5-years?
Maybe just provide your list of more consistent half forwards currently playing and we can review ?

Wonder if the Saints would be keen to part with #7 + #8 for Richmond's #1 ? Have they got their eye on a top end target who'll be gone by #7 (eg. O'Sullivan?)?
Then Richmond do #6 + #11 for Norths #2 and F1.
Richmond end up with 2, 7, 8, 10, 20, 23, 24 and North's F1. I doubt that would hamper our ambitions for the players we have earmarked, but would add another Top #10 2024 into our mix.
North get Tauru at #6 and whoever else they want at #11, and the Saints think they've done a Josh Kelly for Tyson/#9 type deal.
