Big difference between Jessie white and the talls on our list is that he used to look the goods at training and stank on the field. Where griff, Astbury and elton stink at both. Which is why McBean and McGuanne all get game time in the fwds for coburg while the others are "trialled" around the ground.

We have retained a couple of very big bodied guns in Martin & Arnott and I'll be wrapped when they spend another 6 months in the gym, coupled with a gut wrenching pre season, for both boys to put on a display & tear the f&#kin game apart in R1of the final quarter.

With Martin, he already has great strength, i think he needs to mainly focus on his aerobic fitness, which is only thing holding him back from becoming one of the best players in the competition.

Sirely we would be asking Carlton about Yarren and getting in his ear, We need a small forward and Yarren has so much class its not funny. Once he gets traded he would have got the kick up the ass he needed to become a consistant player. If we could get Adams and Yarren it would be a great off-season.

There is a kid coming through the ranks who will be up for drafting in those years that i would love to get at Richmond. Keep an eye out for Reece Piper! Kid is a gun. has all the tools.

Known him all my life and coached him this year. we played Under 16's (half my side were 15's half proper 16's) he missed the first 7 games with a broken finger and still won the league best and fairest as a 14 year old playing 16's.

Has played for Vic, holds numerous state athletic records in sprinting, long jump, triple jump. Absolute quality on both sides of his body.

Very level headed too.

When i was doing some work at the Dandy Stingrays I told the Regional manager at the time to look out for him when he was 8 years old, he rightfully laughed at me.. fast forward the clock and the very same kid is well entrenched in the Stingrays program now

Yes I agree with your comment but Martin will be one year older with another pre season under his belt and will reach the milestone 100 games mid way through next season. More strength & greater aerobic capacity is imminent.

I think we need to pick a couple of key, realistic targets, and go hard at them.

If Longer has pretty much come to terms with the Hawks, I don't see that it would be all that beneficial to not only enter a bidding war, but try to get the kid himself to commit when it seems he's already decided on his preferred club.

I just don't think it would be beneficial to take a scatter gun approach, when we probably can't afford to bring more than one "bigger name" recruit in. Adams is obviously the one at the top of the list, so lets do all we can to lock him away.

He actually hasn't because hawks are yet decide who they are 100% targeting, with them being interested in both Shane Mumford and Billy Longer. Who they target basically will be decided on the back of the franklin decision tomorrow because it will tell them how much cash they have to splash around. If they have the cash to splash they will probably decide Mumford over Longer because he is ready made and perfect for their premiership defence.
