I wont be disappointed if there is no trade for Hammer. He needs a kick up the arse, no doubt, but he's a gun player that we'd almost certainly end up regret trading. As football supporters we tend to be smitten by the potential of a top 10 draftee over proven performance. We could get a pick like that and end up with a total plodder.

I think a few oppo supporters would be surprised what their respective clubs would offer for Hartlett aside from natural ability and being a former top 10 pick himself clubs will back themselves in to get the best out of him.

A high first round pick is still no guarantee to be a star player, the value of picks vs established players in a good age bracket is still out of whack to a degree.. probably more so with the average BF poster than list managers though lol

How is Hamish choosing to meet teams mean he is being paraded around?

If any player is considering joining another team of course he would want to meet with them first...

Do you think port told him he has to meet with all the teams port want to trade him too?

Drum up interest? Seriously? You think Hamish is door knocking ? He is visiting teams that have been in the ear of his management for years now.

All im saying is that it would be unusual that hamish would be going around meeting multiple clubs, if it were the case that he's definitely staying unless a super dooper 'too good to refuse' offer was made.

Regardless of whether it's port instigating it or Hamish or both... It points to him being far more likely to leave than previously thought.

Pretty sure if a club wanted to offer anything good, they would want to meet him first.

Literally what you are saying is the norm these day. You have to meet with clubs. It's common practice

The fact that he's going around meeting multiple clubs actually does say to me that he's not sure on leaving and is shopping himself around to see if he can find an offer worth his while.

If he was only meeting with one club, then I'd think he was gone, because meeting with one club would indicate that a decision had been made.

I wouldn't be keen on trading Broadbent. The issue with Broadbent is the position he's been asked to play (i.e. the coaching/game plan) as opposed to the player or his performances. Broadbent has finished top 10 in our B&F the past 2 years running. I'd have him as a required player.

Broadbent depends entirely on the Hartlett trade imo. I don't think we can afford to lose two of our bigger bodied players at the moment.

So, if Hartlett goes then Broadbent stays, but if a Hartlett deal falls through I'd happily move Broadbent if a good pick is on the table.

There is a chance they may not even use pick 28. When the last time a team picked up 9 players in the draft (7 + 2 from exiting players)

I can't see GC offering up a 20's pick for ah chee when 40 should get it done. But having said that I see zero chance they want to draft so many kids either.

They will seek as many 2017 picks as they can for Prestia and omeara to be honest. Even then I think they will only want a max of 3 live picks outside academy kids. I think they would consider our 2017 3rd plus ah chee for pick 27. I would consider that but wouldn't necessarily jump at it.

Our 2017 3rd and ah chee for pick 27 plus 40 I would do. Not sure they would as they might wanna use 40 in another trade.

What a day to be a Fremantle fan. Waking up to the news that both Hogan and Lobbe have extended their contracts for 2 more years.

Kind of makes you want Cam McCarthy to nominate West Coast as his preferred club.
Think Pav may be pulling on his boots for one more year with a combo of Schulz & Petrie.
