In terms of getting work done, it's not going to be a very productive week for myself!

I have no problems going after Burgoyne with Pick 9 and a fringe player but Port want Lewis/Birchall + Pick 9 for Burgoyne and are completely dilusional too Burgoyne's worth. It's a disgrace. I just don't think we'll land him as Port are acting like they have a clue when they really don't. It just won't happen but if it does lets hope Hawthorn don't give in and give more than he is worth.

My real problem is, why the hell are we going after Gibson. The guy isn't even in North's best 22 and is only an average defender. Certainly not worth giving away our second pick when we so desperately need at least two ruckman. Imo we should abandon that plan and offer Kennedy and Pick 25 for Jolly. We could also tell Sydney if Port won't deal they can have Pick 9 for Jolly.

I hope we don't waste too much time with Port over Burgoyne and miss out on getting Ruckmen. Seaby, Jolly, Fraser, Charman, Blake, we better get at least one and to be quite honest we need two. Surely our Recruiting staff can't be that dumb to not realize we are screwed if we go into next season with only Renouf and free kick Taylor as our only Ruckmen. I will be disgusted if we don't recruit a Ruckman because all our time has been spent argueing with Port.

PS. I don't want to give away Kennedy but if he wants regular game time then maybe it's best. I would much prefer to give away McGlynn who is an ok player but very much overated by alot of our supporters.

Gibson played all 22 games in 2009 and finished 5th in the B&F.
Jolley is on a massive 2 year contract that would not fit into our payment structure as it would make him our highest paid player.

The North Melbourne Football Club has traded Josh Gibson to Hawthorn.

The club will receive picks 25 and 41 in the upcoming National Draft in return for Gibson and pick 69.

A fair trade. Nice to see that after all the silly talk by brayshaw was put to one side that the fair deal was done. Really a tribute to both clubs common sense. Pity we cant expect the same from Port adelaide. Still think they are a big fish, living off of a bunch of sanfl premierships.

I think in 2008 he conceded the most goals against as a defender... This is from a friend but I do not know if he was simply pulling it out of nowhere or whether it had any essence or not...

dont expect anything to happen on these fronts in the immediate future. Most trades will happen on the last day, hence why i think about it not as trade week, but trade day (friday)

but no need to panic yet, early days.
