A look at this on paper and geeze we’ve improved our list by a mile. A lot more balanced and good depth.

We’ve definitely improved our depth. On paper I agree the list looks better but until they get out on the park we have no idea if our best 22 has improved.

Damn close to perfect
In retrospect/ wishing, I would have liked to have got pick 18 (ended up being 21) for Henry and taken Barnett
19 - Allan
21 - Barnett
30 - Ryan (if he lasted) otherwise we could have taken Cowan if Ryan gone
Still leaves us a 2023 2nd short but there may have been ways to address this at the end of next year

Well done Jen, obviously Fly is a fan of yours and must be a keen observer of your training vids etc....

Just on Krueger, he is a real concern. He just can't get his body right. Hopefully he can get a good run at it this year, once he is over his current injury concern.
He just seems destined to be one of those players who retires prematurely, because they could never get their body right, and constantly injured.
Fingers crossed though, he can play majority games this year, but l won't be holding my breath....

I tend to agree that Kreuger had Lot of Potential but his Body kept Failing him

Yes.
But so to have Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane and Richmond.

Jen, Is Krueger in danger of joining the likes of Leigh Walker and Mark Orval as players that looked to have it all but were let down by their bodies? It's worrying to see he is yet again carrying an injury.

Some people seem to be overrating Krueger as a player. He’s quite agile for his size, but as a key forward he’s yet to show he is afl quality.

My biggest concern is that Wade would have spent a lot of time, while in the NRL , rehabbing Shoulders where it’s a very very common injury. So if Krueger is struggling despite Wades experience then I too share your fears.

I'm not bulllish about Geelong: none of the players they've brought in are proven first 18 players with their respective teams - with the possible exception of Bruhn who got games with a side that performed poorly. Their aging list is one year older and have a premiership hangover to overcome - they have some significant list gaps (ruck, KPP) that weren't exposed last year due as much to luck with injury than good management.

And they lost their best leader in 18 years. Reckon its gonna leave a hole.

Geelong will either produce more the same or crash and burn. They do have significant list gaps but the problem is they're brimming with talent it suffices.

It will be interesting to see who Cats go to as their captain. Dangerfield has put his hand up, Hawkins would be happy to do it and there is talk of Stewart. The first 2 would be our equivalent of the Sidey Howe demographic.

Roughead is a loss, hope we can cover for him with Frampton.

Haha. He just said that the opposition view him as someone they love to hate to play against, because no matter everything surrounding him, he is a very good player. I didn't ask if his opinion has changed. As I'm not sure he played v him, as he was in and out of the suns team last year.
Markov played in the second game against us last year, up at Metricon.

Still don’t have a quality young KPP.

And they’ve lost Selwood which is going to hurt them
