Really? You really believe that because the majority of the people on here would prefer that the players aren't referred to with insulting nicknames, that we're in some nasty clique?

It's just tiresome watching 8 ppl with identical opinions on everything all hammer someone for something minor, then go on the derail a thread with personal jokes.

Gets pretty tiresome watching people tear strips off everything to do with Carlton while calling themselves supporters, and then complaining about a clique when no one else agrees with them.

Are you referring to me or the other guy?

I didn't agree with the other guys opinion, but just get sick of seeing you and your mates gang up over a minor indiscretion.

We did come last after our coach said we wouldn't loose a game and the club talking up Liam jones at every opportunity, some people are gunna be upset with the club. Not that I'm saying i am, I'm very happy with SOSs decisions to date, I just think people should be able to call a spade a spade and not get hounded, for what appeared to me to be a minor overstep of the boards rules.

Are you feeling a little left out?

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be part of the cool group eventually. Then you can gang up on frustrated 13 year olds too. :D

Is it that obvious?

Ok...How do I join

Buckley: Boys are 'really pumped'

It’s only been five days, but Carlton coach Brendon Bolton has already made an instant impact on the baby Blues.
‘Bolts’ made it clear he was impressed with young defender Dylan Buckley in the first week of pre-season, and it appears the feeling is mutual.
“Bolts is such a passionate guy, you can tell he loves footy and you can’t help but sit on the edge of your seat when he talks – all the boys are really pumped at the moment,” Buckley told 3AW.
In a jam-packed week for Carlton’s 1-4 year players, getting to know each other was high on Bolton’s list.
“On the first day there were a lot of new faces – the boys should have been wearing name tags,” Buckley laughed.

Can't help but like Dylan.

Took a few years to find his feet and get used to the workload required of him but he's really starting to come on. His energy and enthusiasm has always been infectious but he's got the skills to back it up. There aren't many players with ground-level skills as good as his who are also equipped with express pace and a 60 metre kick. Just needs to limit the skill errors.

Really hope he plays on a wing next year as I believe that's where he'll be most effective, providing dash, link-up play and the ability to cruise forward and kick running goals.

Not much talk about Matty Dick on here - seems he's really gunning for a senior spot, and I'm sure everyone knows the deal by now... put in 110%, play your role and perform or you won't last long.

Good to see MD come back in good shape and showing voice/leadership among the 1-4 year players. Could be a surprise packet in 2016 if he has a good summer.

Sidenote, also great to hear a bit of Neil Craig in that clip - seems really comfortable in where he fits and looks to be loving being in that hands on role with the players.

“We’re really keen on building those relationships at the Club, making sure we get around to everyone, not just the players but even the staff upstairs – Bolts has been really driving that part of our footy club.

Here's the interesting part of that interview, for me.
This is how a club builds culture and it shouldn't be Boltons job to connect all sectors of the club.

It's a job that out board couldn't do, to the detriment of the club. Bolton is speaking 'unity' and it's no wonder that there was plenty of that in the club he's come from.......No surprise at all.

First thought was Jaksch doesn't look much bigger in resting pose but then he compares fine with Rowe and is bigger than Foster. Korcheck is a beast.

It's no different a concept than Year 8s starting the high school year first. It's probably daunting being a young guy with a lower level of conditioning and fitness compared to older players. Far easier for coaches to evaluate the younger guys amongst their peers as far as development goes.
This analogy would be fair if we didnt dump the draftees in during the middle of December.
