Dropped in for a squiz. Sorrt Phillyroo had no mobile device on me so couldn't drop you a line.

When I got there the forwards and the mids were in separate groups, the forwards dicking about with their skills and the mids practising stoppage situations, specifically throw ins. Maj, Goldy and Preuss would swap in the ruck (Cuz has a massive shiner) a they basically tried to work the ball out of the stoppage. However, once the ball was and the stoppage set up broken, Tudor would kick another ball into play and the groups would try work that ball out. Basically practising repeat stoppage situations. The whole group consisted of Wells, Swallow, Gibson, Cunners, Dumont, Ziebell, Dal Santo, Vickers-Willis, Fordham, Bastinac and Atley, and then the three rucks. Once they had done that they then moved into the middle to work on centre stoppage stuff, however Wells and Atley moved off to practice goal kicking on the run.

Meanwhile the forwards were working on hitting up targets inside the corridor from the forward pockets. Boomer, Harper, Turner and Garner were out there with these boys, along with the usual suspects.

As Philly stated the defensive group came out later and were working on generating drive and overlap from deep. I didn't take much of a look as I had to head off, but Hansen and Mullett were in that group.

Dal Santo did the presser today and stated that the group had been very honest and critical with each other at the review, which is something that has improved over the last 12 months. The group are really keen to atone for the performance and if changes are made then we have players in good nick ready to come in.

Yep all the above is spot on! Really liked the intensity from the mid group in the work you mentioned. Did you see any likely inclusions from what you saw?
I was a little flattened by a flat looking wells... He fumbled a bit, and looked half the player he did in training the last few weeks.

Interesting, does it mean he bore a fair brunt of the whack that went on behind doors? If so, hope he responds well or that there isn't something else going on. Hard to argue that he shouldn't be one of the leaders looking to have a great game even when the rest are playing like pigs.

Wells will respond. The weekend would have hurt him. There is no excuse for the performance he dished up, and I'm not quite sure why it's happened the times that it has, but one thing I do know, he loves this club as much as the rest of us, otherwise he'd be playing in WA right now.

Expect a fierce Wells this weekend and beyond.

Wellsy did indeed look a little flat, and I saw him head off from training early. I think he was going for a swim. Dunno whats going on there.

TBH I thought the group was ok. Basti did some reasonable work, Cunners was Cunners, JZ worked hard and Dal was smooth. Fordham looks good on the outside and has bulked up, but none of the guys on the cusp really stood out. It was good though to see JZ and Swallow working on their pick ups after the rest had gone inside. Clearly not wanting to repeat the fumbling crap from the weekend.

Working on the basics?

Well, I never......

If I trained the house down only to dish up Wells' effort on the weekend I'd be sheepish to go back to ripping training apart again.

Oh, yeah, I will say this again, Preuss will be a player.

I reckon two years of further development and he will be pushing for selection.

Any sign of Durdin? Sorry, too lazy to scroll back and see if he has already been mentioned.

If so how does he look.

I seem to recall something about us needing a tall key backman.
He was out there with the forwards. He's a nice kick, good mark but skinny still.

Trained trained exclusively with the forwards. Moves well, and his set shot kicking was nice! Looks slight compared to the other talls though. Might be a little way off. Not going to pull a TennisPlayerAndy and declare him three years away or anything though.

We have lift off!!!
Preuss and Fordham first in the track!!!!

Who won?

Very much appreciate the reports. Listened to NDS on the SEN long play a few minutes ago and he was fielding questions galore.
