Unless he plays as a full back or CDM I don't want him as a centre half he'll get bullied and targeted in the air.

He's actually ideally suited to Serie A where he can bully the pensioner defenders playing there.
I do remember him saying many times after Inter won the title that he wound't be leaving. Maybe when 98m was ponied up for him Inter pushed him out the door.
