He will most likely bounce around between Spain, France and Italy in his career. I doubt a PL club will ever consider buying him. He deserves to spend his career at clubs he doesn’t want to play for. Good riddance to trash.

Saudi Arabian clubs wouldn't have any issues signing this guy.

This is pretty much 3rd party ownership. Was never going to be a Troyes player. Getting a bit if press in France this one.

They should never have let owners own multiple clubs across various leagues. This was always on the cards.

Troyes are the losers in all of this. Basically the club's been used as a FFP workaround to benefit MCFC. Club record signings never making an appearance for the club they supposedly signed for is disgraceful.

This is very unusual. Average form from the player to come out and talk like this after a game just finishes and while still in contract.

A lot of leagues and clubs around the world are just used as a stepping stone. Europe is the ultimate goal for most professionally footballers and you will find that clubs outside of Europe will let a footballer leave with their blessing in a lot of cases.

That may be the case.

No need to be disrespectful to the present club and fans though by airing it like that.

Something that should be discussed out of the public's eye.

Troyes made millions out of the deal. They are undoubtedly in a better position as a club as a result of the signing.

And we've bought him for market value so any FFP workaround is just a figment of your over fertile imagination.

But good to see you back talking about your favourite topic. It's been a day or two.

Talking about a transfer in the transfer thread.

Shock, horror.

Also nobody is the least bit surprised you jump in to defend this stuff.

****ing lol.

Did you type this with a straight face?

He was the third highest rated u/23 in La Liga behind Bellingham and Yamal, both of which have market values well in excess of £100m. Probably £150m+ in all honesty. He was rated higher than Baena and Pedri....

Spurs just signed an 18 year old out of the Championship for £40m.

You just sold Delap for £20m who has a few goals at Hull under his resume.

Dewsberry-Hall was just bought for £30m out of the Championship.

Summerville has an asking price of £40m out of the Championship as the EFL POTY.

Apparently one of the best young players on the planet last season has a market value of £33m after driving his side to 2nd in La Liga with only a few rounds to go?

How would an offer for Foden in the £35m region go down you think?

The valuation was probably £60m short. But the rort doesn't quite work if City group have to funnel £100m in transfer revenue into a third division French side, does it?

Ha ha. You're going on about Robinho. Couldn't you find the 2008 transfer thread.

I've got nothing to defend.

What I will do is counter stupid statements like Troyes is the biggest loser in all this, and that the signing is a FFP workaround.

Explain how it isn't, with some semblance of logic?

His market value right now according to Transfer market is €50m. July 2023 it was €5m. The deal was agreed half way through last season.

In July 2023 he wasn't one of the best players in the world, was he?

It's irrelevant, as he was sold yesterday. The transfer was made, yesterday.

Cole Palmer wouldn't be worth what he was in 2023, now, would he?

Savinho is a £80m+ signing every day of the week into the English market after the season he just had.

If you think he's worth £100m it's pretty difficult to explain with some semblance of logic.

But he's not worth anywhere near that. And if he was the league have associated party rules that will declare the sale invalid.

Every transaction between associated parties goes through a fair market value test.

So he's dropped from £100m to £80 in a few minutes.

Keep this up and we'll be getting slagged off for overpaying.

His market value right now is €50m according to Transfermarkt.
