Yer but he likely won't be on the list next year so won't cause any problems at least.Short memory, was only a few years ago Cloke bit one of our players in the NAB cup.

If we were to have a crack I think we'd be in pole position. He's a free agent so we wouldn't need to give anyone up.
Common knowledge is that Melbourne and Freo have put big offers forward, I doubt he would want to go to Melbourne as he wouldn't experience a great deal of success, if any, at his time there. I can't see him moving over to WA.
Which leaves us and Carlton, we should be able to offer more than Carlton, and the Richmond family ties could only help.
Your from Sydney so you're not really aware of what the Cloke family is like.if he dose get bought it won't be by a Victorian club as he wouldnt be able to show his face around town
aka like Scully
Eddie McGuire was on MMM this morning and said that he had spoken to March and was told that we WILL NOT be going after Cloke. Personally I took that with a grain of salt, after all you would have to think that if we are going to go after him March would hardly be telling Eddie him that we are. I would also think that even though March is president, he wouldn't have any say in who we go after from a playing list perspective.
No doubt we are just pot stirring. I'd love to do an old Richmond number and make a lot of noise about getting cloke whilst doing a snow job under every ones noses and getting Goddard. Be cheaper and better.

March most likely would have no input on whether we did or didn't go after Cloke , however I'd suggest he'd know if we were going after him .Eddie McGuire was on MMM this morning and said that he had spoken to March and was told that we WILL NOT be going after Cloke. His dad wanted them all together. We didn't want Jason or Cameron.
Only thing that would worry me is Eddie. He would do all he can to destroy our club..
Richmond and Carlton on Wednesday reiterated their interest in securing the services of Collingwood forward Travis Cloke.....
......the Tigers joined the queue on Wednesday with football operations manager Craig Cameron revealing the club could afford to chase the in-demand forward.
"We've got room in our cap," Cameron told SEN on Wednesday.
"We're not sure exactly what the figures are. If some of the figures that are being reported are true then some of those would be a challenge. Not necessarily from a salary cap position, but we've got a list management model that we've been building on for the last few years.
"We've got a number of young players that we have to keep in the coming years. We've got a very good structure in terms of our list management and salary cap going forward so we just have to work out what Travis wanted before we took it any further."
Cameron said the Tigers would be talking with one of Cloke's management group, Ralph Carr, although he expected the 2010 premiership player to remain at Collingwood.
"We're taking it via his manager, Ralph Carr," he said.
"We're probably still in a similar position. We think Collingwood and Travis will sort something out. Obviously with talks being on hold, it's important for us to maybe have a chat to Ralph and see where the situation is at so we know exactly where it sits."

Not sure if I'm the only one , but I think it's a huge compliment to the club that Eddiechins has contacted the club to find out if we are interested in Cloke. He is obviously a tad concerned that we may be attractive to Cloke . I like Tugg hope we drive his price up only for him to sign and for us to grab another of their uncontracted players somewhere near their true value. .thats all piss and wind.
He's not worth the (supposed) coin, but he is the perfect player for Richmond to acquire.
I'd much rather get 2, $500,000 a year players that are good but not a superstar which is also a "need" then 1 superstar in Cloke, We could get a good midfielder in Adcock and if Clokes sign's get Reid. I would think Adcock + Reid >> Cloke?
